Any idea how much I might get at Gamestop for this stuff? I want to pick up a GBA Mic

Anyway.

I know EB is giving some bonus dollars on trade ins, but I recently moved, and there is no eb within a reasonable distance of here.

I'd appreciate it if anyone can give me a rough idea of how much credit I'd get for this (meager) haul...

all Xbox stuff:

Breakdown
Chronciles of Riddick
Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix (+ official pad that came with it)
Hitman 2
Kill Switch
Mega Man Anniversary Collection
Metal Slug 3
SNK vs Capcom SVC Chaos

Subzero Controller

yes they will and any way... today is the last day of Gamestop's extra 40% trade-in, I would try them first. If not, then try ebgames and there trade-in promotion.

Ah, cool, I called them, and they did say they have a promo. They said they could only give me the prices for 2 games, but it gave me a good estimate.

I'm gonna head there in an hour or two. Part of me HATES trading in games, many I have yet to beat, but I know I'd get alot of use out of a Micro, as I spend much much more time hanging out on campus (I commute) than at home.

I actually just traded in Breakdown and Hitman 2 yesterday!
Before the 40% increase, Hitman 2 was $2. Breakdown was $4.
I would expect about the same for Riddick, but it's a coin toss for the rest. I traded six games for $25 - kinda lousy, but I hadn't paid more than ten bucks for any of them and none were worth jack on eBay.

Walk out after they give you a total and then go to EB ($5 bonus per on PO games) and compare the two figures . . . that's what I would do.

Also, for god's sake don't accept less than $3 for any game!!! Give them away before you take $1.50 for any game!

I'm guessing EB will offer you $70 (with the bonus money)

Hitman 2 for PS2 is selling for $4.99 at GS but is likely PO at EB so it gets the $5 bonus.

Yeah, I think that at $2, I'll keep breakdown. The other stuff, I think I'll sell.

I would compaire w/ EB, but there realy isn't any near here. I miss where I used to live, gamestores all over the place.

Too bad about the one-store town :whistle2:(

Let us know how you do . . . 40% bonus should help.

I bet GS will be in that $70 ballpark (with bonus of course . . . otherwise you'd be lucky to hit $50).

I never sell off games . . . but I flip them.

If they lowball you - you should be able to sell those on here for a fair amount of $ - nothing amazing, but it'd be cash not credit. Just my plug for the tradign forum ;)

2nd'ed. I'm interested in kill.switch... But obviously trading/selling them on CAG takes longer than getting credit for them today.

Well, I am back, with my shiny new GameBoy Micro (more on that in a minute)

Here is how the trade-ins broke down (all prices include 40% added in):

Breakdown - $4.20 (meh)
Chronicles of Riddick - $7.00 (not too bad)
DDR: Ultramix - $11.20 (yay!)
DDR Konami Pad - offered $0.01, so I'm gonna sell it on ebay (or here)
Hitman 2 - offered $2, so I kept it
Kill.Switch - $5.60 (not too bad)
Mega Man Anniversary - $11.20 (Great game, but good buy back price)
Metal Slug 3 - $12.60 (R.I.P....but good money)
SNK Vs Capcom SVC - $7.00 (meh)
Mortal Kombat Sub-Zero controller - $7.00 (the 40% isn't added to controllers, but the guy did it anyway, since when I called, he said I'd get $5 for the dance pad)

So, getting the Micro, and a used copy of Mario Advance 2 ($24.00), I ended up paying $60.08 cash.

Not bad, not great.

Now, onto the micro...

It is charging right now. I changed the face plate, and a bit of lint got in there. I tried to wipe it off, and it just scuffed the plastic (on the face plate, not the unit itself). Frustrating. I powered it up, and it didn't seem noticable.

I honestly don't know how I'm gonna play it, it is so small!
Why the hell did you buy a Micro?
Several reasons...

1) I spend more time on campus or away from home, than at home, so I never really play my console games. (the ones I sold back)
2) I like the size, a DS or an SP is too big to take with me. If I have a SP in my pocket, it looks like I have some sort of cubed erection.
3) I have a...um...special cart...(which I can't seem to find right now)...that I had to import, that I can use with it.

You got pretty close to my $70 target!

I think your logic makes some sense. I would get a micro if they were $50. It would be nice to have a tiny game player.

It also should be great for Warioware Twisted.

personally i find the SP to be just the right size. plus i like that it folds. i'm waiting for a good deal on one of the new backlit ones so i can get rid of my current frontlit unit.

Game Stops aren't actually allowed to buy the dance pads, so teh fact that he said 5 on the phone is a bit questionable.

I hate the fucking Micro! Well, more honestly I hate CNN. I read a story of theirs that said ( before E3) that Nintendo was making a portable that would destroy the PSP. It could play full length movies, store pics and MP3 and everything! All for less than $150. Well after hearing that ( CNN usually being a reliable source) I sold my DS to game stop, there weren't many great games anyway ( at teh time) and waited to get my new system that would kill the PSP. Then they announced the Micro! Behold! Nintendo takes a Huge step back into the world of technology! Look at the retro graphics! And be amazed as all it does is play Advance games ooooohhhhh!

CNN probably also said that "25 to Life" is a game where kids can gather around and kill cops for hours on end trying to top their high scores. ;)

$35 is a great deal for the backlit SP. At EB Games until 10/01/05 you can trade in your old SP and 1 game and get a $15 bonus. The SP gives $30+$15+$1-$2 for the game, then you're right over $45ish in credit. For $35+Tax, you can have a brand new backlit SP.

I want an SP . . . but it needs to be pristine and cheap.

I got a Game Boy Player for very cheap and started collecting GBA games. Then I got a DS . . . which I like. But I want an insanely cheap SP for greater portability.

You might have less time playing (video) games if you had kept the DS.

Yes, ladies, it takes two hands to operate.

Damn, sorry, my fault, I meant to say SP. I never owned a DS.
