I was wondering if it is likely that there will be some good deals on the Slim later this year. I have heard people talk about dell coupons that work with consoles, and would love to get a deal on a slim. Honestly, I could wait if I could get a good deal. On the other hand if everyone thinks it is $300 hard and fast I would just keep my Amazon pre-order.
 
i would just look for the bundles that come with the 80gig ps3 later, cause they want to get ride of the ps3 fat so they bundle the shit out of it! or atleast they should!
 
Bumping because I'd also like a deal. Basically anything below retail--preferable from an online store so I don't have to pay tax.
 
I'll probably wind up getting it through either Newegg or Dell. Both would be lower than retail since there's no tax and there's usually a cashback deal on both...
 
Rumor has it stores are only making $7 profit on PS3 slims. Any extra discount would be from Sony marketing money I'd think.

Sony is offering thru sonystyle.com a $100.00 statement credit on purchases $299 and above. Does it really take 8-12 weeks for the credit or are they more prompt in applying the credit within 30 days. I do not want to carry a $100 statement credit. Would rather pay the $200 and have the $100.00 applied so that I have a zero balance within a 30 day period of purchase. :)
