I've been a fan for years.. it's a great show!

STARGATE ATLANTIS (Season 4) premieres Friday SEPTEMBER 28 at 10PM with Amanda Tapping, who plays Samantha Carter in SG1, joining the cast - Watch it LIVE! "9/28 is the Official 1st Watch it LIVE day."

Oh and at http://stargate.mgm.com/ They have a trailer for STARGATE: THE ARK OF TRUTH, the new movie that's coming out to DVD. As well as behind the scenes footage for STARGATE: CONTINUUM, yet another Stargate movie! There's also an "Enter the Gate" sweepstakes where you could win a trip to Las Vegas to see Korn.

Ive seen every Stargate Epsisode (except Atlantis). I was kind of dissapointed in the last season. It seemed that they crammed as much as they possibly could to make it seem like they knew the whole time the story would end the way it did. I cant wait for the movies, but Atlantis never really held my attention past the first season.
 
I recently finished watching every episode of stargate in order (it took about 3.5 years). After I got rid of cable tv I realized I missed Stargate Fridays on Scifi and started buying the seasons. The last few seasons I didn't get to watch until the dvd came out. I have to say that, overall, it's a great series. I didn't think I'd like Atlantis, but it has grown on me too.

My roomate is crazy about that show. Watches it everyday. I've caught a few episodes of it because of that, but as far as Sci-Fi shows go I wouldn't say its preferable to Farscape or Lexx.

Apparently theres a game coming out too?
 
There has been a game planned for years, the first one got canceled.

I'm a huge fan of the first few seasons of SG-1. They had it on for way too long and it showed they couldn't do Atlantis and SG-1 at the same time.

SG-1's final season was terrible, for such a late season there was a lot of filler.

Atlantis is... I don't know, it's missing something. It seems through that this season they are gonig somewhere with the storylines that they have built. i saw an early edit of the first episode where they scream "BOOM" because the sounds aren't down. It's good, I enjoyed it. I hope this isn't the last season because I think it's finally getting into their own now that SG-1 is over.

I'm a huge sci-fi nerd through. :)
 
I like the early stuff of Stargate to about the mid season of season 6 or so, after that it's very so-so and the quality is up and down. It's one of those shows that if they ever came out with a complete boxset comprising all the seasons, then I would definitely pick it up. As is, I have Stargate Atlantis Season 1 that I got as a gift, but haven't opened yet.

I prefer Farscape, Battlestar, etc. to it though.
 
I was a late fan but I've liked the last half of their series of SG1. Atlantis is ok and I'm glad it's still going. Still have to catch up though.

I'm also trying to make some CAG a very good deal on all the individual seasons - CML! ;) /shamelessplug

Personally, the only slight drop in quality I would acknowledge in SG-1 would be the last season - I thought the new bad guys they introduced just weren't that interesting. But the final episode was fantastic, so it still wasn't a BAD season. And I've only seen the first 2 seasons of Atlantis so far (have season 3 in my Netflix queue) but I love what I've seen of it.

Didn't I read somewhere that they're working on another spin-off series as well - Stargate: Universe?

Yep, and the rumour is the creators want it for sometime in 2008. It was supposed to be a TV movie, but then they decided to make it a show.
