Well, it's almost here :). Fang-bangers can once again unite, a whole new Season of TrueBlood is starting on Sunday. To celebrate, I thought I would start a thread on it and see what other people think of the show. Although for all the build up, I felt last season's finale was quite disappointing. Even so, I have high hopes for season 3 and from the previews it doesn't look like it will disappoint.
 
Cant wait for season 3. Gonna start watching the last few episodes of season 2 so I can remember what happened to get ready for the new season.
 
Anna Paquin looks quite amazing naked. Show is really good, I got sick of the Mary-Ann thing, dragged on way too long (I didn't need to see 5 town-orgies to get the point).

Looking forward to it.

hell fucking yes i cant wait to see her and tara naked on that show. and that crazy preachers wife damn that bitch was crazy hott. i love the show and all but the really damn hott chicks on there never get naked. i cant wait for this show and rescue me to start up again.
 
I'm pumped for Season 3, though from the looks of the trailers I'm gonna be disappointed by the
werewolves
. I prefer the
wolfman man
type, as opposed to
people who turn into regular wolves.

I'm shocked Paquin gets naked, I figured she'd have it in her contract as she is the star, but she seems pretty uninhibited in interviews about it.

Lizzy Caplan was the hottest naked chick on the show though.
 
There is a slightly amusing article on IGN right now about why this show is better than twilight, that's were I learned about the were/transformers in season three. I'm super hyped about the show because they left themselves room to take it in any direction. I just hope the resolution to the season 2 cliffhanger ending doesn't take up half a season. I would really like to see a vamp/werewolf fight or clash. It could show more of Sam's origins or introduce an evil person with his gift. I found some of the tru blood drink at hot topic and my friend got me a %50 discount (it's still way overpriced) but that stuff tastes amazing, and the bottle looks really cool too. Are there any Sookie Stackhouse book fans in the thread? I'm intrigued to read some, but friends opinions make it sound like it's not as good as the show. I don't want to read the ramblings of some woman that gets hot for vampires and diagrams her fantasy of everyone wanting her over the course of 9 books, but I could be wrong.

Haven't read any of the books, but from what I've heard is that the books are very different from the show (e.g. plot points, different characters and their importance). So yeah, I'm just as curious as you are.
 
I love this show. It doesn't waste time pretending to be a highfalutin masterpiece, it instead offers up an unapologetically violent and sexy look at how vampires should be. Twilight, take note.
 
I have been tempted several times to read the books but I have not yet. Enjoyed the first two seasons and can't wait for this one to start.

Twilight exists to make ordinary sob story chicks think that a couple of hot dudes would want them. What it did to vampires was disgusting.
 
Cant wait for season 3 either. It's going to be a great week since E3 is shortly after. Also a huge Jessica fan. :D Her character was fucking annoying at first, but now she's my favorite character, followed by Eric. He can fly!
 
i hope they bring in zombies. seems like theres alot of everything from the fantasy/horror/mythological world in the series i cant wait to see some zombies.
 
Good timing on this thread, I just watched all of season one today, for lack of anything better to do. I should be caught up just in time for season three on Sunday!
 
The best show on TV IMHO, and so much better than that twilight crap in terms of vampire shows. I just bought the second season and am on episode 5 now. Probably won't watch the third season for a while because I don't have HBO unfortunately.

I said to my lady that tru blood needs zombies so bad! she replied saying that I always say everything needs zombies. But they really do...

Wasn't too into tru blood after the second season (1st season was great) but hearing about sookie getting naked is making me anticipate it. And Jessica is annoying as a stuttering fat kid asking for food.
 
Don't want to derail the thread but in October there is an upcoming AMC horror-drama based on the acclaimed comic "The Walking Dead" that should more than satisfy that zombie itch. It's got some big name talent attached and AMC produces insanely high quality television.
 
Yeah, Walking Dead is going to be great. The only problem is the show would wind up getting canceled because of AMC getting fed up with Kirkman refusing to finish the story. I don't think he plans on ending it, hence his "I hear great things about World War Z. I'll read it when I finish Walking Dead...which means I'll never read it."

Game of Thrones (another series that will be started with the author placed on a timeline to provide material) will shit all over Walking Dead anyway. Because Martin's primary series does have a projected end. Everybody just hopes he lives long enough to finish the last 2.5 books.
