Any way to gift marketplace stuff to others?

Not anymore.

U used to be able to buy codes on Amazon and PM them to people, but M$ put an end to it for some reason.

You can do it on PSN.
 
I know it's not the same (sadly), but you can now buy just about any Marketplace Arcade games through Gamestop, which gives a code you can send to someone else.

I think what is being meant is that if you already have the points, or an excess amount of points. It would be nice to help a friend and gift them 800 points for the new map pack or 1200 for that new arcade game that you could play together. I have had a few of those moments myself, and it sucks that you cannot do it that way.
 
Right, plus you might not want to gift 1600 points, just enough for the map pack or whatever. Plus you may want to give them a specific thing. It's a shame we can't do that.
