Is this site reliable? I've been on their mailing list for a while but never bought anything from them. Just wondering if they're any good.

I don't see any good prices for recent generations of consoles so I don't know why you'd bother using them over Amazon, etc. Maybe for old cartridge stuff since they claim to have manuals for some of their NES games and stuff, but I have no idea what those normally cost in today's market.

They're totally legit. A scam site would try tempting you with good prices.

Although admittedly, some of their NES prices are pretty decent.

i went ahead and did a purchases with what was left on a visa gift card. seemed to go through ok....until this morning when i got an email saying i wouldn't be charged and the order would be cancelled because they didnt actually have the game "available to them anymore". smh disorganized company is disorganized.

Why bother asking if they're legit? Everyone here said to stay away, but you did it anyways...I feel like I don't understand what happened here.

basically i was asking because i much prefer to use a debit or credit card than a gift card. but i did want to make the purchase, and the gift card was already over half used anyway. i figured it'd be safe enough to take the risk of losing a few gift card bucks because even though people on here had negative things to say, people on other sites posted that they had a good experience.

This happens on Best Buy's web site all the time. I've personally had no problems with this place. "Everyone here said to stay away" is blowing things out of proportion slightly. Out of FOUR responses, three advised against the site. One did so because of the prices. One did so because of a flawed site-flagging system. The other person judged without even visiting the web site. None of them have actually purchased from the site (I think it's safe to say that they would've mentioned it). They're welcome to their opinions/input, but they hardly make a strong case. It's not the greatest online store by any means (I think it's a small operation), but they're not out to scam you or anything.

I guess it was just a little more frustrating in this situation than with a store like best buy because they said the game "isn't available to us anymore". I mean...it's a retro game store. Who the hell ARE those games available to?

Oh yeah, I totally get it and I'd be frustrated too. I was mainly directing that at captaintek's comment because I thought it was rather silly to expect someone to completely dismiss a site based on feedback by three people who haven't used it.
