My first time ordering,, i had to call to get an online order shipped which pissed me off. I had an item said it was shipped, but when i called they said it wasn't, and after my phone call it was actually shipped.

Second, for Halo 2 which was preordered in August became backordered and they had no clue on when they would get a reshippment and would be able to send it out. Its funny cuz they said 22 of the preorders didn't get thier games. I think if they are gonna take pre-orders they should had enough to fill that, and once they don't , they shouldn't take pre-orders anymore.

So I've had two stupid experiences with them, and I'm done with them. Am I just unlucky and ran into 2 bad experiences ? Cuz i understand no company will satisfy all the time (but for good business i think they should)
Anybody have problems witht them ?? OR have good experiences ?
 
I've bought many things from outpost.com and have never had any problems . All of my preorders shiped on time and arrived in excellent time. I think you just had 2 cases of bad luck.
 
I've never had a problem with Outpost.com, and I've ordered games and other stuff from them in the past. I pre-ordered Halo 2 about a week before the release date. It did initially show up as "backordered", however, it shipped on the 9th, and was delivered on the 11th.
 
I've never had a problem with outpost.com, but I do hate their delivery choice. DHL completely sucks, they try to deliever it at 9 AM, which I'm usually at school, and they can't try later in the day.
 
I got a defective usb thumb drive, and their retrns process isnt the greatest. I wasnt refunded my original shipping charges.
 
The last two orders went wrong. They shipped a used gamecube game instead of a new one, and then replaced it with another used copy. And when I ordered shadows of destiny for the PS2 ($7 or so, which means $15 shipped!) they sent the PC version - and it seems this is an inventory problem, not just a random mistake, since somebody else experienced it as well.
 
MY only problem with them is that their customer service department - you know, their "#1 rated unparallelled customer service" - it's completely awful. Don't expect a reply to your email in less than three or four business days. In fact, I didn't get a reply to one email for nearly two weeks. I'd completely forgotten I'd emailed them in the first place.
If you don't want to deal with the 2 week email time, you have to call their customer service department. That call - in my experience - will consist of 15-45 minutes of hold time before you get to talk to either a completely professional CS employee or a moron. The first time I called, I was lucky. But the last time... I told the guy that this game I'd preordered had dropped in price and asked them to charge me the cheaper price. The guy said I'd have to cancel my order and then place it again to do that. I said, "Well, but... I've already paid for the shipping on the game. See, I ordered two games at once and Outpost.com charges for shipping for both games when you only send one out. It's not going to be worth it if I have to pay for shipping again." Guy tells me that it's the only way to change a price in the system, cancel my order and pay for shipping again. Hung up on him and emailed customer service again... still waiting on that one a week later.
 
Well I have had two good experiences with them. I preordered half-life 2 for 35.99 and just got it yesterday so that was very fast. I also order a mobo from them and got it in three days. I can't complain about them yet. But dhl does suck one time they couldn't find my house because they said it didn't show up on mapquest.com. I still laugh about that one.
 
Ive had my first two orders from them back ordered for a good couple of months until I finally cancelled the orders.

I took a chance with the GTA:SA $35 free shipping deal and was shocked when I actually recieved it.

So I guess if they actually have the item all will be good.
 
I've only ordered from them once: Dead or Alive Ultimate. It shipped when it was supposed to, and arrived here on time. Smooth transaction for me!
