Anybody know anything about avi files?

I'm trying to put this avi file unto a dvd but it is to big. Does anyone how to make the file smaller?

Depends on how you want to burn it, what the file is.. normally use Dr. Divx to shrink it down.. I could be of more help if I knew what exactly you were trying to do.
