Anyone else looking forward to Geist?

Most certainly. It's just too bad it won't have any kind of online mode. What FPS in this day and age doesn't have online modes?!

Medal of Honor (consoles) is the only recent FPS game that springs to mind that's not online.
 
In my mind I equate this game with Eternal Darkness. It'll probably be really good, and it will find it's hardcore fanbase, but it won't really hit the masses that well. I think it's destined to sit on the shelf and be marked down, but in a sad way.
 
I've been looking forward to this for a long time. I even made a thread about it last year, because I hadn't heard any information on it for a good while back then. It was supposed to have come out towards the end of last year/early this year but got pushed back. I too get the feeling this is going to sit on the shelves and have a huge price drop even though it's going to be an excellent game.

IIRC the PS2 and Xbox versions of Rising Sun are online.
 
I don't really have any interest in this game. It kind of sound cool and all, but it's not really something I feel the need to get.
 
I haven't read much about it, but what I have read sparked my interest. It's on my wantlist for sure, but it's definitely not something I will have to have at launch. Maybe as I hear more, I will change my mind.
 
I dunno. The graphics are pretty bland. Maybe multiplayer will be good, and the concept sounds great, but man, they REALLY need to get it better looking. I'm not trying to bash it, but seeing as how it will be compared to any other fps out there right now, it's going to get murdered in the graphics department quickly.
 
I don't know if the control scheme is gonna be different from other FPSs, but I'm not looking forward to using that nub of a C-Stick.
 
I did the trade in 5 and preorder it for free at Ebgames and i am looking forward to it. My concern is that the graphics are very dated. Gameplay seems to be great. Some screenshots and videos seem to have mixed graphics. You can tell the difference between the newer stuff and older stuff. Also check out how it looks when the guy holds a pistol. I am crossing my fingers but i am not sure.

IIRC I heard there would be a LAN mode for multiplayer so technically you could take it online if WarpPipe supports it.
 
I'll let you know how I feel about this game once they actually decide to bring it out. HOW MANY TIMES ARE THEY GOING TO DELAY THIS GAME????
