Anyone else stuck in Tennis?

In Wii Sports, I've been playing the same two opponents since I got my rank up to ~1200 points. I'm ~1900 now.

I'm wondering if the opponents stay the same for the rest of the game, or do they change at a certain level.

Also, is there any reward for getting a 2000 rank?

does it matter how much force i put into my strokes? if i flick my wrist? the angle of my strokes? or how big my arc is? also i notice that sometimes i can do a power serve, but i can't always replicate it. How?

I don't think power of the swing depends on how hard you swing it. The angle that the ball takes is entirely based on timing, but you can twist your wrist to put spin on the ball. I'm not sure what determines a lob or a regular hit. The power serve is done like in most tennis games, you just have to hit the ball right as it hits its apex.

The power definitely plays a role in how hard you hit the ball... Although the net player really is limited.

OP: I'm wondering the same thing. I keep playing the two players rated 1900 and 2000. Wish they went a little higher (or at least gave you two opponents that were 2000). Only at 1600 at the moment, so was wondering the same thing about reaching 2000.

EDIT: And by power I mean the back court player can really hit the ball deep into the backcourt (where you wanna) with nice strokes. And if you hit slow and scoop... you can hit some real meatballs.

People wrongly complain there's no depth, but there's tons of neat things you can do with your shots.
Do you get anything for reaching 1000 points? Like the gold/star bowling ball in bowling?
You get PRO next to your name. That's all that I can see.

I agree wholeheartedly on people underestimating Wii Tennis - and Wii Sports in general. The game has awesome replayability and depth.

I would not have bought Wii Sports if it wasn't a pack in... and I would have been wrong.
