Anyone ever gotten a replacement 360 from 2005?

Okay, so Microsoft is finally sending me a refurb 360 back, but come to find out, it was manufactured in 2005! I bought mine in 2006, and my latest one is from 2007, but 2005? Pretty much all of those have croaked by now! I was wondering if anyone has received a repair 360 from 2005 and if it still works? I know they are supposed to fix the consoles, but if it is the same motherboard with just replacement parts, isn't it just going to RROD again? I am not an expert on this and anyone who is could please enlighten me?

They rarely fix consoles. They usually grab one from the stack of fixed refurbs and send it to you so you don't have to wait as long.

Hopefully if it breaks it breaks within your 90 days.

I think it is just dumb the fact that I bought one before they went HDMI, so I am pretty much stuck with a crap system until I shell out for a new one, or they actually make a good damn console!

I know you're not looking forward to spending more money, but as soon as you get that "new" console from MS, you should probably just try to get as much as you can for it on Craigslist. Then, buy an Arcade.
