Anyone ever purchase from buy.com?

CAGiversary!
What does it mean when my order tracking says "Sent to warehouse"? I would assume that it means the item was sent to the warehouse but it's been like that for a few days now and I would have expected it to be on its way here.

hmmm....do you live in a warehouse? maybe its being send to you.

Seriously though, i have bought from them before with no trouble in the past. But i dont know what that warehouse thing means.

I just bought a receiver form them and had no problems. Shipping took at least a week though... Sent to the warehouse means that they have received your order and processed it but the item has not been shipped yet. Your tracking will say "in transit" or something when it is on its way. You actually get a list of the cities it is in while on its way to you if you check often enough...

Sent to warehouse means they have sent the request to whatever warehouse they store the item you bought. The warehouse will pull your item, pack it then ship from there.

I remember back when buy.com was a mostly text website and the only graphics were their logo and product images. I ordered a voodoo 1 4mb video card from them and it was at my door the next morning, at that time they charged a flat rate of 10.00 to ship anything anywhere. I think they may have used Airborne Express back than but I could be wrong.

I've had good experiences with them. Twice, They were offering free shipping, and it said 5-7 days, but they both came in two.

i haven't bought from then since sblive was like a nice sound card (what was that, like 50 years ago?). I remember it being pretty fast and cheap. Card still works too.

I've purchased from them several times on a variety of items...

No problems...

The even did a price match to CC when CC was running their 20% off video game accessories (however I'm still trying to get them to match CC's free shipping yet...)

Sent to warehouse just means they've sent your order to be picked off the shelf and get it read to ship.

The time I ordered from them I got two GBC games and a preorder movie. The GBC games got to my door in two days, before I even noticed that it said "in transit" on the website. The DVD, however, took two weeks from the release date to arrive.

They have a guideline of 13 days before you can submit a claim (the DVD had been "shipped" a day later then the GBC games). It arrived on day 13. This is considering that they said 5-10 days shipping time for the package when I ordered it.

They do not have a customer service number, and their price matching is horrendous (THREE days from purchase). Guaranteed best price my ass.

I just got an email from them stating that they're still looking for the game. What are the chances that it's not actually there, like there computers were wrong or something?

They do have a customer service number FYI, but it's a closely guarded secret. I've purchased from them a few times, overall everything went smoothly. Once I needed to ask a question about a rebate, and I had seen some people complaining about buy.com on the slickdeals forum. Someone posted a customer service phone number and I called it. Shockingly, it was Buy.com customer service, and they answered my question. I don't still have it handy but I bet you'd find it if you google it.

I order from them all the time(mostly electronics like routers, pc cards, cam batteries) and they have been reliable so far. I get my stuff within a couple days and usually the shipped-email w/ the tracking number comes AFTER I receive my package.
Their usually have 2 different prices for the same exact item because they're listed under different categories.
For example, do a search for "Delkin NB2L" and you'll get 2 results for the same exact item. One's on clearance for $19.95 and the other is $23.74.

I got my Harmon Kardon Mac speakers from them. They were incredibly fast. I think they gave me 2 day shipping or something for the ground rate. No complaints from me. Also, the speakers were $150 when every retailer and most sites were selling them for $199.99. I highly recommed buy.com as a result.
