I def. plan on going out tomorrow and shopping at a couple of goodwill's. My mom works at one and she said she has gotten a ton of donations ( tax write-offs). They are getting so many, that it is going to take them a few days to be able to put out everything.

I plan on checking a few tomorrow and right after the new year, to see if I can snag anything decent. The one my mom works at gets a shitload of Target stuff, so hopefully after the first of the year, they get some more stuff in (likely returns and such).

My local goodwill stores have a supporters program were you donate $5 you get $5 free merchandice a month for a year! Well my first voucher just came in (it's for the month of December, it came late 'cause so many people signed up) so I'll be using it tomorrow!

BTW 2 weeks ago I got 2 brand new unopened Gamecube memory cards -1st party 1019 for $5 each at goodwill!!

I got Sid Meier's Civ. III gold and Conquests for 5 bucks not to long ago.

Got MOH: Pacific Assault for 10 (sent it into EA to get one of the discs fixed)

I have gotten other things, but those were some of my most recent gets. I would have gotten ETM for the PC for 3.50 the other day, but someone stole the discs out of the box.

I found a gameboy pocket for $5 there once. That was a while ago though. I might check. There are two near me and one usually gets Target stuff as well.

Its like a Salvation Army store.

People give them things they don't want and the store sells most of it to help the needy and then gives out some of the stuff to them also.

i found a star wars paperback for 89cents couple days ago
god why cant i hardly ever find anything good at mine
its depressing
I had to do community service at a goodwill last spring, it was depressing, and I haven't gone back since, nor do I plan on it.
Wait, the horse got ordered to do community service? What did you do?

On topic, I've never bought any video games at Goodwill. I usually find overpriced Genesis and SNES sports titles. But I'll admit I don't really visit Goodwill often enough to snag better stuff. I did find a few Burger King Mario and Kirby toys one time that are displayed with my games, and another time, a 48-capacity CD rack for 3 bucks that I use to store my Playstation games.

And on another note, I always see at least one Sega Genesis thing there. If not a bare console, it'll be a controller or those sports games.

They don't have goodwill stores around here, at least I don't know of any. I've been to about 3 or 4 in the buffalo, NY area (on my way to toronto) and they never had anything. I don't bother looking anymore. Though is there something special going on at goodwill tomorrow?

I have a Goodwill that's only like a mile from my house - which means it's really easy for me to haunt the place frequently. I normally stop in a couple times a week, and some of the scores I have had from the place are absolutely ridiculous! Granted most of the times I walk away empty handed, but sometimes when I score, it's a REAL score! Consoles, games, toys, vintage concert shirts, all kinds of goodies!! Even an ubercool mid 80's nintendo Mario Suitcase once !!

oh sheet dawg no way,,,

so ure saying there's a special deal at goodwill on new year day??

last time I went there I bought an N Sync shirt! in the little girls section no less,

that was over a year ago -_-

gotta get me some cheap ass pants

EDIT: oh sheeyit dawg Rozz's icon is mad tite.

No Need for Alarm was a tite album, I wanna get Del's greatest hits album, I hear Elektra did a great job putting rare soundtrack cuts and remixes on it.

a side story concerning some hiphop and goodwill, my cousin found a copy of Aceyalone's All Balls Dont Bounce album. That was back before the rerelease when the album was going for like $40, of course he got it hella cheap! He also got an autographed SES cd

no deals necessarily, but a ton of new stuff should be in stock (maybe something rare or good).

A bunch of the stores near me had full parking lots with people donating stuff. The one store in the town over, got so many, they had to start taking donations in the parking lot they got in so many.

just saying, if you were in the mood for bargain hunting, it is a good time.

I went dis morning, it was closed man, but,

there was a sign on the door sayin Jan 2nd is everyting 50%.

I didnt even kno they open on sunday, but I guess it maybe something special (unless they always are open on sunday)
