I am curious about getting one of these. I would like the receiver, boombox and car kit, but i dont know how I would hook it up to my cd player. Any ideas, links, good deals? Anything? I will trade a gamecube bundle for it :)

I actually have a SkyFi receiver and home kit that I've been thinking of selling. Not sure if that's what you're looking for or not.

yeah it's great. if your car only has a cd player there is a hardwire kit available, i highly recommend it if you get a roady 2 or something that just has a built in fm modulator

so you have the boombox also?

what are you looking for what u have

i have a pioneer cd player that says XM ready, and someone told me I would need a FM modulator, but how does that hook up and how does it work? I am kinda confused, but I want to get it. Is there a channel list on the internet for XM radio? thanks

I have a XM Roady 2 setup with the cassette adapter, wireless FM modulator/charger, and newer micro antenna. Also have the XM home kit new in box(which is just a set of audio cables, power cable, and larger antenna), and a brand new wired FM modulator that goes behind the dash in case you want a hard connection to your radio(this way works the best, and you get the best sound, if your car reciever is not XM ready, if it is you need a whole other setup)

But I do want to dump this stuff if the price is right, the Roady 2 setup was used a total of maybe 10 hours. The FM modulator was never used and the home kit is still in the box also.

I Have an XM myfi, most XM's have an FM modulator that lets you find a lower or higher fm station and the XM unit broadcasts to that station under a menu setting so you can listen to the XM through your deck. I have a pioneer deck and thats how my myfi works, and it sounds great!

I have a MyFi that I've used for almost 3 months now. I'm looking to sell it for $200. They currently sell at retail for $300. It's in mint condition (even the plastic is still on the screen) and all accessories and original box are included. If anyone is interested please PM me.

the modulator sends the music signal at a certain frequency that you select under the menu on the myfi. you tune your radio to that station and it picks up the signal sent by the xm unit. The myfi is nice because it comes with car, home, and on the go kits so its an all in one unit basically.
