Anyone heard anything about the XBOX 2?

Me and a friend was talking about the PS3 and he said that the XBOX 2 comes out arounf the same time. Just wanting some clarity.
 
Right now Xbox2/Xbox 360/Xbox next/whatever the hell they're gonna call it looks like it'll be released before the end of THIS year. And the PS3 probably almost exactly a year later.

Some extra info:
Backwards compatability has not been confirmed.

Hard drive has not been confirmed, rumors are MS is looking to put out different "versions" of the next console to fit a certain consumer's wants.

From the keynote address by J. Allard it seems that there will be NO new online service. Instead, XBL will just roll over.

Mini-purchases for XBL games, from both consumer and developer.

Some crazy features for the next XBL and the next Xbox dashboard.

From what I've been gathering MS is looking to make the next xbox an entertainment center. Similar to what is going around with modded Xboxs nowaday.

Wireless controllers out of the box are rumored.

Migrated black and white buttons to shoulder positions and triggers changed to shoulder buttons are likely. (Similar to the PS2 L1,L2,R1,R2 setup).

and rumors are flying that Halo 3 will come out the same day as the PS3 to combat sales.. but that's all they are at this point, rumors.
 
Things should be much clearer in less than two months when announcements are made at E3. Try to think about other things until then and save yourself a measure of sanity.

Think about the kind of person who works at Wal-mart and reflect on whether such an astute individual would have information that has evaded the notice of virtually every other retail outlet and publication.

As what, a janitor? And why would a history at Microsoft provide inside knowledge of Sony's plans?

If you're working Wal-mart past college age or before retirement your life probably isn't going all that well. Such a person might be inclined to console themselves with self-important fantasies.

Yep, wait until E3 for some solid comments.....

It would be nice before the end of the year...but we'll see. I can finally use all my credit at GameRush when it does come though :)
 
Yeah E3 is going to answer all, and i suggest all who dont have tickets to SF then get a gamespot complete account for full coverage, and i mean full coverage, on the hour too, or you can watch g4tech tv if you are really desperate, take everything with a grain of salt at this point
 
Ok, I used to work for Sony, in fact I was the CEO. You just probably haven't heard of me cause I worked i nthe background. Well recently, I got fired cause I was doing to good of a job and Sony was getting tired of making so much money on account of me. Suffice to say, I'mm not too happy and am going to spoil all of Sony's plans concerning the PS3.

It will be released on December 32, 2005 this year!
It's processor with use the new "cell" design which mean it will be powered by daisy's and petunia's and will run off an organic battery that charges when you take the system outside into some sunlight.
The launch titles will include: Haylo: Combat Evolutioned, Burger Maker 9000, and the ever popular Grand Theft Oto, a game based on a guy named Oto stealing stuff.

Their store GM's pull down some bank, plus they get a 10% discount.

sorry gaelan, but though walmart is the number one employer of americans, it is also one of the worst jobs to work for, and it has absolutely no way of supporting even the poorest of people, i dont shop at wal mart for that reason.

"Tickets to SF" aren't going to help much for an event held in Los Angeles.

GM is one position out of a hundred or more at a single Wal-mart. When I said probably this was in accordance that a tiny minority of the employees can attend their ten year high school reunion without shame.
 
I know this is off-topic, but then again so is wal mart, but you should check out the new next gen nintendo revolution, is set(its up in the air but leaning towards fact) to have touch screen controllers, lets see how that one works out, though im starting to think nintendo, despite its wonderful history, has suffered from old age dimensia, and has gone bonkers

BREAKING UPDATE!!!!
Since Sony is gettting sued for their controller design, they have decided to give up the console bussiness all together and lets Xbox and Nintedo fight it out. Sony has decided to donate its current works on the PS3 to a little known company called Kontra Band famous for hacked ROMs like Super KKK Bros. and Uber Metroidzor.

Also, rumor has it that I rock.
