Yeah, I remember reading something about it possibly being pushed back again on AnimeNewsNetwork.com. But I hadn't heard anything else about it since, so I was hoping it was just a false rumor. I guess I'll believe that the DVD has been released when I have it in my hands.
 
I just watched it yesterday morning it was pretty good, but it's been so long since I played FF7 forgot alot of stuff.

Supposedly Boy George is in it also according to imdb. Anyhow, is Eminem really in the voice list for the American release? That'd suck. I have my Jap sub copy anyway.
 
I was trying to hold off on DLing it, and wait til the American release. But I might have to just go ahead and take a look at it, then just buy it whenever it does actually come out.

George Clooney does the voice of a dog barking in a South Park episode. You don't think it's at all possible that Eminem is a random person screaming at a certain point in the film?

Using IMDB as a source for the information before any sort of cast list has been published? No, I don't.
 
I just watched it last night, and it's not going to matter who they cast to do english voice acting. No matter what, it's going to be worse. A lot worse.

On that note, why is information on the U.S. release so scarce? The official website hasn't been updated since May of last year, and I haven't seen any press releases regarding it since the Japanese release. I just hope there's a language option.

Wah, wah, wah. People who bitch about dubs before they're even out, especially without any sort of information as to the cast, are obnoxious and their complaints have no merit.

Only thing I know is that Lance Bass will be Sephiroth. But I prefer to watch stuff subbed anyways so who ever is doing the dub it doesn't bother me much.

I wasn't bitching at all. The original voice work was so well-done that the english dub will pale in comparison, no matter what. And this is a straight-to-DVD release, after all--you can't possibly hope to have an all-star cast. Will it be awful? Doubtful.
 
Wait, is there even a list of the American voice actors? There's no record of it in IMDB and they usually have this stuff long before release.

Or just download the Japanese version and remain relatively apathetic to the U.S. release?
I'm still buying it on release day.
 
They get praise for me just because of the quality of the graphics they used. I've always wanted to see Sephiroth and Cloud in better quality.
 
Unless you speak and understand Japanese I don't understand how you can claim that the Japanese dub is "good". How do you know that they aren't the oriental equivalent to Ocean Studios? You know, the guys that did Virtua Fighter and Dragon Ball... -_-

Sure you can like it better because Japanese sounds cool....but I don't think you have any right to claim that it is "good".
