Guys i really need ram but i cant afford the freaking 140$ price tag of a 512 stick of RDRAM. Please somone help me, i am to the point where i might steal it. :drool:

steal it! haha, i'm in the same boat as you are. RDRAM is so expensive, believe it or not its almost cheaper to spend a little more and get a new motherboard and new ram. that's what i'm doing once i save enough money. it gets cheaper as you can get about $100-$120 for a used stick 512 on ebay.

if you want to find the cheapest place go to fatwallet.com, go to the hot deals section and search for "rdram" and you should get a whole thread dedicated to it. good luck
 
It doesnt exist. Seriously. Most of us are just buying new PCs or parts rather than fork out the ungodly amount of cash needed.

You can breeze FW but you ll find theyll say the same thing. Unless there is a really REALLY good reason to keep this machine, Id sell it (you ll get a mint because youve still got Ram in there) and get something newer you can afford the Ram on.

And talk about disgusting, I got 2 GB of DDR2 for $170. I cant imagine $150+ for only 512 of something
 
i would take your computer, tie it to my truck and drag it down the road, before i bought pc 800 ram for it. you can get a gig of corsair value ram for 79 and a mobo from newegg for that.
