I saw this game at Circuit City the other day and forgot that it had come out. I was really hyped for this game, but I am worried it will suck like the first one. I am a huge Matrix fan though, so anyone have any impressions of it yet?

Mixed feelings so far. This is coming from one of the guys who loved the first one. I don't know...if it wasn't for the Matrix name, I would have stopped playing this game a while ago. Then again, I'm still finishing up what seems like hours of training sessions. I'm sure the game will get better. Kinda cool how the story & gameplay branches off depending on how you do certain things, like the escape from the Agents in Neo's office level.

The game is very mediocre, but the fact that it is Matrix makes it easier to swallow. I played through quite a bit and finally realized the only reason I was having fun is because it was a franchise I liked. If it was a no name action game it would have probably gotten worse reviews. I'd say worth a rent if you like the Matrix.

Damn thanks for the comments guys I was thinking of getting this for my boyfriend for christmas but I think I will just wait until it hits that magical price of $20. He enjoys the Matrix just like me but it doesn't justify paying full price for something he will probably play through in a week.

id have to agree with you but i got bored/stuck at the part where you fight all those japanese dudes outside that are basically invicible and they keep spawing more goons but ya the game sucked it was barely worth a rental....

Invincible? I didn't die at that part. I don't think I even got hit. Actually, that was one of the three funnest parts in the game.. with the sword and all

meh i suck sue me the sword part was pretty fun but the special moves got old fast the whole like 2-3 of them...

I'm liking this game. I think the framerate and the camera are disasterous, but I keep playing and having fun. The Matrix license does help of course. I'd wait for a $20-$30 copy. I haven't gotten to the end yet, so I'm intrigued.

Camera sucks, lame shooting/targeting method, bad framerates at most times, the "massive amount of combo/kung fu moves" are overrated because you end up doing only about 1-5 at any given time, even when you try to do one you just unlocked. Feels alot like a button masher :

I was really thinking of picking this up, especially after I knida liked the first one and love the Matrix series, but I think I'm gonna hold off for a price drop, especially with some of the "so-so" reviews out there.

The camera sucks.
The graphics suck.
The framerate sucks.

But the gameplay...is AMAZING! Seriously! Its just pure fun playing this. There's nothing like jumping right at a group of four cops and taking them down in slo-mo, doing Neo's moves. This IS The Matrix experience.

The graphics are really, really bad though. I'm talking PS1 type stuff. I can't think of any Xbox game that looked worse than this. Yet it still kicks ass. Strange but true.
