Just wondering if anyone ever used those controllers that have like 5-10 games on them and are they worth it?

I know my mom always loved Ms Pac-Man

There pretty neat, you just put batteries in em' and plug em' in.... It's fun... sometimes the controller doesnt work the best, being a joystick and all, its doesnt go the way you want it to sometimes. But for 20$ you can't go wrong.

Thanks....Best Buy seems to have them on sale this week. I MIGHT pick it up....we'll see.

Any recomendation on which one to get?
I see like 3 or 4 of them at least.

I bought the Namco one for my Dad last Christmas. It's great, even though the games aren't arcade perfect. Some of my Dad's old Pacman routes don't work anymore because the speed of the ghosts is a bit off. But, still lots of fun.

I was actually considering gettng one of those. I see them in the Mall kiosks all the time.
I have even seen Contra

I got the Ms pacman one, the bad thing is that it doesn't keep your high score. The moment you turn it off you loose your scores. Also the joysick isn't a 4 way controller like the arcade. It's an 8 way controller so that you can play the other games in the collection. But the greatest thing is that you can rotate the joystick and use it as a steering wheel in Pole Position. It's amazing how good it feels.
There was supposed to be an activision one, that was going to have river raid and pitfall, but i dont think it came out
ive seen the activision one, its out, just a little harder to find. i have the original namco one and its pretty fun to play pacman, and the genesis one seems very appealing, except its more expensive than the others becasue its not make by Jakks.

ThinkGeek seems to stock them online, so that might be a place to find them.

They're at: http://www.thinkgeek.com , and well worth a look for the many cool things they have there.

Golden Axe
Sonic
Kid Chameleon
Flicky
Dr Robotnick's Mean Bean Machine
Altered Beast.

Saw one at Wal-Mart for $25 I believe. If I was to get one, this would be the one.

I've seen these at Gamestop, and they look available on their website here:

I checked amazon just for comparison's sake, and it says not available until 12/15. Here's that link if you want it for some reason:

I got one for my best friend for her bday. She cant put down miss pacman and mappy.

I played the one with Ms. Pac Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug on it. It was a lot of fun to play. I thought it was going to be really bad, but it surprised me.

Yeah man don't go for those. That's just cheaply manufactured, imported, ILLEGAL crap. Now I'm not gonna get all high and mighty about the legality, since I myself have plenty of ROMs. But you should never, ever PAY for that kind of stuff. Sure I'll download all that but at least I have the decency not to try and make money off of it.

It's like when my friends buy CD's that they KNOW are pirated. I'll never understand that. I explain that it's just a burned CD, and they're like "yeah I know, but it's cheaper!" Man, if you don't care about the "official" product, just download it for free. Why give some punk your money for that?

Does the Genesis one come with that little Genesis? Also, does that particular one run on batteries or power (or both). It's a nice little selection of games, but I'd probably just get it for the novelty alone.
