are these 8gb MS Pro Duos legit?

Since Amazon isn't the seller, they could be fakes. Then again, I'm pretty sure Amazon would not allow them to get away with that so I'd say you're pretty safe if you did order one.

That's probably the best you'll find, but you could always just get a MicroSD adapter and use an 8GB MicroSD card instead since you can pick them up for about $16 these days and the adapters run about $2-6. That's what I do and it works just fine. The MicroSD option is also good because there are a lot more devices that use MicroSDs than MSs and there are other adapters you can get for next to nothing to convert them to MiniSD and SD.

The adapter will slow down the reading speed and with no magicgate like the official cards then even worse. The fake one and microSD with adapter will be around the same speed

I just got my MicroSD - Pro Duo adapter from DX in the mail today and tested it out. The only reason you should be worried about reading speed is if you are going to be watching videos or
playing games off your memory stick

However, after testing today, I found that my 8GB MicroSD pro duo combo had both a faster read AND write speed than my Sandisk 2GB MS Pro Duo that I bought straight off Amazon.

If you're interested, here's the exact items I bought:

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.17789

and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820208463

In the end it's totally up to you, but I've found that buying a MicroSD and then an adapter is the best solution. If you for whatever reason sell your PSP, you can always use that MicroSD in your phone or your Wii or pretty much anything. Plus it's cheaper ($20.50 shipped)
