I found three LCD tv's that I like. They are a very good price, but I'm not entirely sure if they would be good or not. I just want a HDTV for my bedroom, so it really doesn't need to be anything overly expensive. It will be primarily be used to watch and play PS3, 360, and Wii games. I would like some input on these tv's. If these are no good, hopefully someone can tell me a good one to get. I'm primarily looking for a 26" or 32".

i don't know about those tv's. never heard of them. do you have a fry's? what they have is samsung's 720p 32" lcd for only $599. samsung's the best looking lcd you can get. i'd spend the extra benjamin and get a great tv.

When you make a big purchase like this I would recommend that you save a little more and buy a good name brand TV you can trust. Believe me you will thank yourself in the long run.

Okay, thanks. So Samsung is the best LCD? I've heard the Sharp Aquos are pretty good too. I was looking at the Best Buy ad for Jan. 6 and they will have a 26" Magnavox LCD HDTV/DVD Combo for $549.99. Would the Magnavox be a good tv?

sharps tend to have banding issues.
sony have clouding issues.

Samsungs are usually very good.
Toshiba's HD lines are really good also. (They do have occasional green screen problem but it's fixable by calibrating the colors.)

You'll be hard pressed to find any of the top three (Sony, Samsung, Sharp) significantly better/worse than the other two. They might have their minor issues but their overall picture quality is way too good to argue about.

I bought a Sharp while trying to pick one of the 3. Sony's are too expensive, Samsung has the lowest reliability, and Sharp put out 2 or 3 models which were really shitty.

My TV 6 months old and I couldn't be happier with it. Did some tuning with calibration software and HD movies/games look perfect on it.

I wouldn't be afraid to buy a off brand LCD, in fact I did :)

I got a 32" for $440. $500 is kind of a standard price for off brand 32" ... so I'd shoot for less than that, or get a good deal on a name brand. That Samsung for $600 sounds like a good deal...I'd buy that before I bought the $500 X2 or whatever.

If you are seriously thinking about buying an off brand LCD, I'd look into the company a bit and see what all they make. If they do all types of electronics, just LCDs, etc.

With a budget LCD, you're not really going to lose much, regardless if its Olevia, Westinghouse, or X2Gen...aside from maybe a little durability.
