As a ebay seller do you leave feedback for buyer when they pay or after they have left you feedback???? And Why?

I have started only leaving feedback to buyers once they leave me feedback because I know my items are exactly as described.......

I only leave feedback after it's been left for me when I'm selling. There is less of a chance of some idiot leaving me negative feedback for the hell of it if they know I can do the same to them.

Yep, only after I get feedback from them, except for very rare occasions. I sold my old Teal DS for a very good price just before the Lite came out to someone with a brand new account. They didn't know how to do feedback, and then must have forgotten about it. I don't pester people for feedback, so after a month or so I decided to leave her feedback anyway (since she was still at zero). Otherwise I wait for feedback - in 99% of cases that is the ONLY way I know they even received the game (besides DC of course - but someone could always claim they still didn't get the game). I just go through my feedback every once in a while and if there are new ones I leave them feedback.

In the VERY old days of ebay, it was customary to leave feedback for a buyer as soon as the money order arrived. This was before PayPal of course, and nearly all payments were via money order. (Of course, back then you could also leave anyone feedback for any reason, even if you didn't bid on their auction!). With PayPal and chargebacks I'm not comfortable leaving feedback until they do. Of course, they can STILL hit you with a chargeback, but at least you have more ammo on your side if they left a feedback saying "received quickly, great game!" or whatever.
