I won a 25 dollar gift card to circuit city that expires tomorrow. I have no Idea what to spend it on. Please help me decide what to buy.

NOTE: I forgot to mention that it was gift card for their website, not B&M.
I've already got it. By the way, I own a Gamecube and will own a PS2 within a month. So anything for either of those systems will work.
You could always buy something now, not open it, then exchange for something you want later on down the road.

On a tangent, how/why do gift cards expire? Aren't they the equilivant of cash? I'm in California so gift cards here don't expire.

Not in their system. I checked earlier this month. That is what I was going to buy.
will they let you put $5 down and just buy another gift card, if you cant decide and just want to wait for other stuff to come out.
You can't buy a gift card with a gift card. I already tried.

Good point. Maybe I'll do that.

On your tangent, I won it in a contest. So it's like a "merchandice card" or something so it does expire ("90 days after issuance")

It's something that's recently been phased in by companies. I suppose, since gift cards are given so heavily at Christmas, they decided to stop allowing them to have an infinite life (thus basically picking their customer's pocket).

I've never seen any with a 90-day expirary notice, but usually "If in x amount of time there has been no activity on this card's account, x percent of the card's total value will be reduced systematically until it's all depleted."

I found two old B&N gift cards, about two to three years old, let's say. On the back, they basically said the above. I tried them anyway; they worked fine. Newer gift cards I haven't used within, say, 6 months from time of purchase, I tried to use and there wasn't a dime on the card.

Just another corporate swindle. Use your gift cards.
