I'll hold out until NFL ends that exclusivity agreement with EA so we can have 2K make NFL games again and whoever has the IP rights towards the Blitz series.

You, my friend, will be waiting for a very long time for that.

This is a good price on a game that just released a week ago. From impressions that I've seen the single player is pretty lacking due to inept AI by the CPU, but people seem to like the multiplayer and the engine itself is very cool.

There's a good chance he won't be waiting that long. The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled that the NFL does not own an anti-trust exemption like MLB (MLB only owns one due to a dubious legal decision from many years ago by the Supreme Court).

That decision makes their exclusivity deals of questionable legality, and it's likely that all of the NFL's exclusivity agreements, including the one with EA, will be challenged soon in court. They may start falling like dominoes...
 
Love this game, but the AI is busted. Really fun against others online though.

Will buy this when it is $10, which won't be long....

Remember NFL Tour? Roger Goodell doesn't think Blitz fits into the new image of the NFL, so Tour was made as an arcade type NFL game that wouldn't ruffle Goodell's feathers too much. And it sucked. I applaud Goodell for trying to clean up some of the players out there (Roethlisberger, Pacman Jones), but he has an unrealistic view of what his league should be. Bottom line, I doubt we will see Blitz again...

the court battle will take atleast a year if not more. NFL will drag it out as long as possible, since they have the money to do so, and to make their case as strong as possible.
 
I love BackBreaker, it's not for everyone. But consider this.

The Devs are trying, they have a pretty small Dev team compared to EA. They listen to their fans. Hell I pmed one of the lead guys on their team on their forums and had a response back in a few hours and he even responded a few more times to a couple other question.

These guys are humble and appreciate the fans. For that I support them and bought the game on day one for 50.
