Backlight bleeding

CAGiversary!
I recently purchased a samsung syncmaster 931B and noticed some backlight bleeding on the top portion of the monitor (when the screen is in screensaver). This problem isn't horrific but I would like the monitor to be somewhat perfect. ;) Is this common with lcd monitors? Should I be very concerned? Should I exchange it, return it, throw it out the window?

Also if I exchange it for the same model, I could risk getting a monitor that is even worse...

Yeah, it's common in nearly all 'budget' LCDs.. by budget, I mean anything that's not top of the line.

Not all LCDs have it though. My laptop has the clear reflective plastic screen, that looks like glass (unlike most LCDs, which have non-reflective surface). These types of screens never have any bleeding.

But you shouldn't worry.. it's not bad for your monitor or anything.:)

There's no bleeding on my older Sony 17" LCD, but both my Dell laptop's LCD have bleedings. Even my macbook has some sort of bleeding, but at a lesser degree.

Yea, it sounds to me that this is common for most lcds. Most of you guys seem to live with it ok...while others can't wait to return it.
