If all we did was say thanks, people would post the same deals countless times for self-satisfaction, and this website would be overflowing with redundant information. We have to be dicks to discourage continuous repetition of the same deals. Hell, if everyone were like you, I'd make my own Big Lots topic and vie for gratuitous comments as well.

I am pretty sure this is at least the 3rd time this has been posted. Once before Christmas when it actually started, once after and then now. This deal is probably dead at most locations, I know it is at the one closest to me.

Where do we draw the line on redundancy because the smart ass comment wasn't needed considering someone else had already pointed it out already. They just wasn't a complete douchebag about it.

Right, because being a dick has done a great job of preventing multiple posts so far. You can't possibly think that someone's going to think "Oh my, I'd better not post this deal because someone on the internet might be mean to me!" It doesn't make one bit of a difference. And the idiotic remarks are just as redundant (if not moreso) than the reposts. They are certainly more counterproductive. More often than not, a repost shows me a deal that I wouldn't have seen otherwise. Also more often than not, someone's snarky attitude derails the thread and turns it into some kind of bitchfest. If reposting is such a big deal, it would make much more sense to simply point it out (as Decker did) and request action from a mod. Done deal.
