Bayonetta 2

I think it looks fantastic. I'm sure it's going to be a really fun game just like the first one.

The only thing that surprised me was that Bayonetta and Jean switched hair lengths.

This game is getting great reviews so far... except for Polygon, who docked the score significantly because of its "blatant oversexualization".

What a shit site.

Is it helpful / important to play the 1st game before this one?

First game comes with it. You should play it because it's a great game.

I know it comes with it, but with limited time I doubt I can play both... at least not right away. I'd rather start with 2 because it looks better and hopefully optimized for WiiU with the screen and all. Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything by playing 1 at some point in the future after 2.

 
Did anyone order this from Amazon? If so does anyone else have a delivery date of Tuesday. Mine does.

Debating if I want to cancel or not seeing I paid this off with credit.

Made it through Chapter 2 last night.  The game is fun but I am not sure about the combat system yet.  I seem to just be mashing buttons and doing okay.  Not sure if that will work throughout the rest of the game though.  Really love Cereza's personality though.

That's kind of how the first one was. You can make it through low difficulty levels with just button mashing but to really get enjoyment out of it you should learn the combat system especially if you want to play on higher difficulties.

Yeah. If they didn't do that, a lot of people would be ''forced'' to buy an external hard drive, especially the 8gb users.

 
Going after work to pick this and smash 3ds up, along with an extension to GCU.

Really looking forward to this, have the next 4 days off of work.

 
I remember Bayonetta 1 was the 1st game I preordered when I got my PS3 in the holy days of 2009, man it was so cool, I still have those pre-order bonuses posters :)  too bad its only for the Wii u and or wii, I dont have neither of those systems, I wish it could be in the PS3/PS4.

 
Glad this game came out on WiiU.  Sold my PS4 to my buddy since I haven't used it in like 2 months.  Destiny was way too disappointing.  Bayonetta FTW!

Nintendo published the game and without them Bayonetta 2 wouldn't have even gotten made. I bought a Wii U for this and Smash Bros. and I don't regret it. Wii U is a great system with games you won't find on Xbone or PS4.

Already selling the PS4? I know year 1 has been less than great. My PS4 has collected a little dust but I know by late 2015 that system will be running 24-7.

I'm getting rid of the Playstation ecosystem as I'm not a fan of the direction they're heading. I will probably stick to mostly PC and a bit of Nintendo from this point on. Most of the XB family of titles are heading on the PC anyways and that gives me more budget to upgrade my stuff to a 4k system. So far I'm not missing the PS4 one bit.

Fair point. I could almost get away with Nintendo and PC but I still am excited for Uncharted in 2015. Also Sony has given me games like Heavy Rain, Last of Us, and Ratchet. I bought my PS4 day 1 and even I am a little concerned after the last 10 months Sony has shown us. But I am optimistic so I'm going to wait patiently for the future.

 
I went through Bayonetta 1.  It's so much better than the PS3 version.  I had a great experience with Bayo 1 with a local import store.  I remember having it before it came out state side and the NTSC-J version worked in full english.  Paid a bit of a premium and the game looked a bit muddy, but loved it.

Yea I never played it but I remember reading on every review sight that the 360 version was much smoother than the PS3. Glad to hear that the Wii-U is the definitive version.

 
Picked up a Wii U this holiday to play this game.  Awesome deal that SMB 3D World comes with.  That's just a slick bonus.  Until last generation, I always bought Nintendo's console first; the Wii was in between my 360 and PS3 last time.  Wii U first this time given the stellar games on the console.  

Bayonetta 2 is drop-dead gorgeous and the gameplay is everything I'd hoped it would be.  Really, this is GOTY hands-down.  I do hope the console sells better, but frankly, gamers know Nintendo consoles are for Nintendo's exclusives.  As long as I get my Zelda, I'll be happy with this console purchase :)

There is no Nintendo themed level in Bayonetta 2. There are Nintendo themed costumes in Bayonetta 1, however.

And on that point, I'm glad there aren't Ninty themed levels - that would be too much Nintendo touching the game. I like that Nintendo let Platinum do what it does best.

Finished Bayonetta 2 a few weeks ago - stellar game. I want to go back and play Bayo 1 now.
