Hey guys,
I'm looking to grab a Nikon D40 for my birthday tomorrow. I have a 12% off coupon from Best Buy, but the camera is $30 cheaper at Circuit City. Would BB pricematch it and then I can use my coupon? Or does CC match competitors coupons?

I'd love some help/advice before I go so I know what the deal is. Thanks!

Totally YMMV, but I've never had a problem with pricematching a CC ad at BB and then applying a BB coupon. It almost always required a manager override to apply the coupon, though.

I'd say it's always worth a shot. Worst they can do is say no.

Good luck.

EDIT: I've tried to get CC to accept competitor's coupons with little success. Others here have had great success...but it's been a while since I've read about anyone trying.
Yes, Bestbuy will price match if available and you can use your 12% coupon for the extra savings.
Incorrect.

Any changes to the price make any coupon use by the register without any manual intervention impossible. It'll kick out the coupon and the 12% discount won't work.

On the terms of the 12% off coupon, it'll say that it's not combinable with any other offers. A PM is another offer, so it automatically invalidates the coupon in the register.

If you do get a PM + 12% off coupon, it'll need to be adjusted manually, and then depends on the sales rep deciding to follow the rules on the coupon.

It's YMMV if it works, so I wouldn't count on it.

I've used Reward Zone certificates(not sure if those are technically considered a coupon at BB) while price-matching a CC ad last year when Orange Box came out.

Not sure how it is now though, if it's changed.

Those are considered a form of payment so you can use those.

OP, no you won't be able to price match then use a coupon. It does happen but its not suppose to happen and its very rare.

My suggestion would be to price match it, then go back a day or 2 later and apply the coupon saying it came in the mail after you purchased it.
