Looks like we have a new coupon on the way from BB RewardZone Gamer's Club, from 12/15/08 to 01/04/09.

Linkage here (needs RZ login first):
https://myrewardzone.bestbuy.com/premier/offerDetails.jspx?offerCode=COUPON20

They're offering $20 off Command And Conquer: Red Alert for 360 & PC, as well as $20 off the Collector's Edition of Lord Of The Rings Online: Mines Of Moria for PC.

I grabbed a screen cap:

Just in case the coupon disappears:

Updated the OP with the coupon link and the date range.

And I'm hoping for a deal on C&C RA as well, as pulling off the same routine for $20 that just happened with Mercenaries 2 wouldn't be bad at all.

Thats what im waiting for as well.

I'm guessing this coupon only works if you're a premium member of BB? Not just a standard RZ member?

EDIT: Oh, wow, I thought the Gamers Club was an additional fee, I didn't realize you could just sign up for free if you were a RZ member. Nice! Now I'm weighing whether I should wait for a sale on RA3 for 360 or just pick it up for $40 now... Hmm, the coupon says "not valid on sale prices" so should I just buy it now?

My guess is that this one would work the same way.

What are the odds of this going on sale though? Its newer then Mercs and its BB.

Still hoping that it will though just saying it might not.

EDIT: Would this coupon work with a PM? Just curious if someone else has it cheap then PM with coupon.

Any manual price change will cause any coupons to be invalid on the transaction. A PM is the "any other promotions" exclusion listed on the coupon. Sale prices are as well, if the coupon behaves as the Mercs 2 coupon did, it'll work with whatever price the computer tossed out there for the purchase.

Logged in to RZ, and don't see the offer.

All my devil-customer ass is being offered is

"Save $10, Plus Get a $10 Gift Card when you purchase either Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360) or WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 (Wii). "

WTF?
looks like I am in for the waiting game on CC RA3 also.
same, I really liked the previous 2 on Xbox 360 (mainly due to the fact that I really need a new PC) but I'm not willing to pay full price for it

I bought C&C 3 and C&C 3 Kane's Wrath for $40 total :)
I don't see why not, I'm giving it a shot. $29.99 - $20 coupon = $9.99 :bouncy:
I understand the math, are you saying $29.99 is new MSRP? If not, its YMMV.

I've never had a Best Buy employee research the regular price before accepting coupons. Most if not all coupons say markdown taken of "regular price"...I think that means the store's regular price for that time, meaning that you can't price match and use a coupon at the same time.
Just like to add that it is the PC version going on sale, for those who always seem to fail to read to the links provided.
Correct, but the coupon was for both the PC and 360 which sucks for those of us who only wanted the 360 version. It should be clarified in the OP that only the PC version will be on sale since nobody clarified which version in the subsequent discussion.

I can't remember if I've done it before or not, but obviously it worked in the recent past on Mercenaries (360), and it may work again. Just not worth 45 miles of driving for me to check since this isn't a Wal-mart price match op.

In theory, a rep could tell you that it wouldn't work, though whatever the register does when the item and coupon are scanned are the deciding factor. Regardless, the system does as it's programmed to do, take the $20 off whatever price is in the register at the time the coupon is used.

I believe it's just the PC version from what Speedy posted Masterkyo...which is cool since its easier to control with a keyboard and mouse.

okay, so the coupon says it's 20.00 off good until 1/4/08, and the pc game is on sale on 1/4/08, so the question is not whether you can buy the game for 10.00 or not, but wheather for some of you it's worth the drive.

I think the coupon should work, considering it says good through 1/4/08

is there a best buy employee on this forum that can confirm..hehe

if I was an employee there, and I saw this thread, I would gladly confirm this scenario to see if it really does happen, and you can use coupons on sale items.

Only 5 days till Sunday, just be patient and try it out yourself, I plan on doing this myself on Sun. morning.

The main question will be if the PC version and 360 version are on-sale, and we won't know that until someone posts ad scans on FW/SD, or people get their Sunday fliers in-hand. I'll know on Saturday, as I get my ads a day in advance from my delivery person.

It worked for Mercenaries 2 (that coupon expired the day the game went on sale), but it was a narrow window - you had to buy it that Sunday. This will probably be the same, though it looks like it will be for the PC version only.

Do you always need people to tell you what to do?
Anyone tested this one yet?
BB stores on the east coast just opened, so no one's tried it yet.

Wait a couple of hours and someone should report back on it.

BB website shows PC version at $29.99, 360 version at $59.99, so it's a no-go for me.

$10 for this would be a steal, except the DRM apparently is SecuROM and is limiting the number of installs to 5. This is according to reviews on Amazon. Just something to keep in mind. I love my PC gaming, but I just can't bring myself to buy anything with something so wicked being a part of it.

Actually went in on this deal earlier this week. BB store I went to only had the collectors edition for pc and the x360 version. Talked to a manager and asked him if the coupon could be used off of the collectors edition even though it did not specify it. He said they would do it no problem. When it was rung up of course the system would not take it, but I gave the girl his name and he came up and did an override on the price. So if you are looking to get the collectors edition it doesn't hurt yo try.

Yeah, I'm in a similar boat. On one hand I absolutely detest limited activations, on the other hand, $10. Only good for a day at least, so I'm sure I'll be able to procrastinate myself past it.
