Being a "Cheapassgamer" finally bit me in the ass!!!

Ok i'm posting this to hopefully help would be victims who can't resist the temptations of the TRU sale.

Well basically i ended up buying 15 Psone games that were $1 each. Over the past two days i've been able to play all of them and unfortunetly only 3 of the games are any good.

THE GOOD PS1 GAMES

Dukes of Hazzard racing for home - Cool little game. Quite fun
Turnabout - Interesting puzzle game.
Virtual Kasporov - damn good chess game

THE TERRIBLE GAMES

Tennis - Literally just like pong
Star wars phantom menace - just a poorly made game
Speedball 2100 - Just boring
Sky diving extreme - Kinda fun the 1st 5 minutes. But overall stupid.
Shooter Space Shot - I'm a 2d shooting fan but this game is very generic

Razor racing - Corniest.Game.Ever. A few quotes: "13 Radical Charecters", "Perform tight tricks", "display your mad skillz" etc..

Rageball - Utter garbage
Marble Master - Flawed puzzle game
Ihra Drag Racing - Kinda cool but VERY short game

Eternal eyes - DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE SCREENSHOTS ON THE BACK!!
It's a strategy/rpg game but is DEEPLY FLAWED. I guess some may like it though so if your a fan of Disgaea,etc it may be worth a shot.

Burstrick wakeboarding - psysics ruin this game

All Star Slammin Dodgeball - This is the one game i thought that would be good judging from the screenshots on the back. But it just plain sucks. Even if your a "super dodgeball" nes fan like me.

Yep cheap games are often quite terrible. Sad thing is since they are PS1 games you won't be able to trade them in elsewhere for much credit.

Would have been better off with the Blockbuster 5 for 20 deal.

Geez, stop whining. For a dollar each having three of the games turn out good is a decent hit rate. You'll almost certainly be able to get most of the cost back on the others. Perhaps even turn a profit if you ask $1.50 a piece for them. Hardly a tragic loss of capital.

I thought the TRU sale was pretty good. My TRU had several sealed copies of perfect dark for $1 each and a few brand new copies of eternal darkness for only $3.50

I actually like Speedball 2100, but then I played Speedball a good bit on my old C64. But I agree w/ the others, for $1 a piece you really can't complain, plus you should have been able to look at many of those and tell they're garbage when you bought them. I bought some crap games as well, but the difference is, I boiught crap that I can turn a profit on by trading it in to EB.
