Best 4 player cube games.

I recently found out how good 4 player games can be on game cube with Super Smash Bros. Melee, but I really don’t know any other 4 player cube games. Does any one have any recommendations?

The Mario Party games are always fun, but those goddamn things NEVER drop in price. I'm pretty sure the Hunter: The Reckoning games are 4-players. Those games were pretty fun hack and slashes.

Super Monkey Ball and Time Splitters off the top of my head... I know I'm forgetting some good ones. Mario Kart, Mario Party (the best version differs depending on who you ask), and Pac Man are all great. Zelda: Four Swords is on a whole different level... that game's amazing with three or more people.

If you have 4 GBA-GC link cables and 4 GBA/SPs (DS won't work), then Final Fantasy CC is a really fun game and Zelda: Four Swords is an absolute blast. Mario Party games are always fun with 4 players. TimeSplitters 2 or 3 is also good... I can't think of any more at the moment.

can you play multiplayer in FF:CC with just using the gamecube controllers?

Nope... which is one of the stupidest decisions ever made. Because playing the the GBA/SPs has almost no advantages but they make you do it anyway.

Super Smash Bros. Melee (of course)
Wario Ware
Pac-Man vs. (as long as someone has a GBA and a link cable available)
Super Monkey Ball
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Extreme-G 3
Beach Spikers
Sega Soccer Slam
Wave Race: Blue Storm
Alien Hominid

Super monkey ball 1 and 2, but be prepaired to get fustrated and throw the controller a few times :p

Super smash brothers!

Mario Kart DD

Mario Party (any of them)

avoid games that make you buy a gba to get that multiplay function out of a game...that was the stupidest thing Nintendo made possible for the cube. I was so fustrated I could not play the second disc of that Pacman world two pack because I NEED a gba...bah

Nonsense. If you've got the gear, the beer, and the friends, it's some of the best gaming you'll ever get to do... FF:CC and LoZ:FSA were absolutely awesome.
Naruto 3/4.
Did you get 4 yet? If not you're welcome to stop by and play here. But not tomorrow, I'll be at the Chiefs/Broncos game.

yeah, FF:CC isnt really a pick up and go game but zelda 4 swords is awesome, i just got back from playing at my pal's house we each brought our own gbas and its a blast, the cooperative/competitive play is great. and regular gbas are pretty cheap these days so its not that bad. look at it as a controller and a game platform in one, extra value! and if you have the pac man vs disc its worth it to get a gba, i never even played the other disc.

:bomb: No. I saw a blue slip indicating a package came, but it was for my roommate. Needless to say, he'll never make that mistake again. Hoping for a delivery on Monday when I've got my only class of the day off.

If you ever played that disc you would realize that you actually do NEED a gba. The game would be impossible without a gba, just like Karaoke Revolution would be impossible without a microphone.

The first 4player game i played with my GC was Hunter:The Reckoning, and it was quite alot of fun...despite the fact the 4 of us were all drunk...

The Mario Party games are great for 4player action...altho I've only got MP4, they all provide similiar entertainment.

Never have played Zelda 4 Swords, but I have played Crystal Chronicles (only w/3 people). The original GBAs can be bought for $15-20 used now, and aren't a bad investment. Zelda 4swords is slowly starting to drop in price, and I'm anxious to play this game with several of my friends.

Best game of the generation IMO. However, FF:CC sucks big time.

It's still new, but Super Mario Strikers is great 4 player. Also nice in that the cup mode (where you unlock stuff) is also 4 player, so you actually accomplish stuff while playing with your pals. Also, you can play all 4 on the same team (you have to in cup mode) which is pretty fun too, not many games let you do that.

Wow, that is a great feature. The absence of this feature is what has prevented me from buying Smash Bros all this time and is also what has basically ruined Donkey Konga for me. Who wants to log hundreds of hours on a game with your friends and then have to go back and play by yourself?

You do know that all things in Smash can be unlocked by total gametime, right? If you went and played 1000 hours of multiplayer, you'd have the same stuff as someone that played a bunch of singleplayer.

I second Four Swords... the few times i've been able to get together a room of four people AND enough GBAs were great fun. The Pac-man bonus disc was fantastic too... if they'd done more games like that I think there'dve been a lot more people sold on the idea of GBA connectivity.

Any multiplayer game with the word 'Mario' in the title or based on the Mario franchise (WarioWare, for example) is a lot of fun with 4 players.

I did not know that. Perhaps I'll give the game another chance.

Even with two people it's great. Your also totally right about Pacman Vs.

Yeah and Mario multiplayer games are great... too bad the single player Sunshine was shit on a stick.

I like Wave Race, fun game to play, the water is amazing.

XIII is cheap and has normal FPS multiplayer fun with cool graphics.

Metal Arms has 4 player but I haven't played it yet, the same with Billy Hatcher, and Simpsons Hit and Run.

Godzilla: DAMM is like a really bizzare SSBM.

Doesn't Metriod Prime 2 have multiplayer? I'm sure that is decent.

And no one said F-Zero GX?! That game is one of the best! Absolutly stuning game.

F-Zero GX isn't great as a multiplayer game unless you have similarly skilled friends. Without weapons, there's no parity in the game. It's fantastic for single player, though.

Metroid Prime 2 is a fantastic game, but I wouldn't buy it for its multiplayer. It's just not that interesting after a while. Some good ideas, but there are so few options that you'll put it away quickly.

Definitely get the Mario Sports games. Strikers and Baseball are awesome. So is Tennis, and Golf is surprisingly even good if you want to play and talk.

Oh, and Donkey Konga is great with two players or more. You can pick up a lot of the equipment inexpensively now too. By far the most popular multiplayer game at my college, particularly because everyone will play the game. That includes girls, guys, parents, kids, non-gamers, gamers.

Oh and don't worry about the comment that you have to "unlock" stuff. All the modes and songs are available from the beginning. The stuff to unlock is minimal.

F-Zero is fun multiplayer. The sense of speed is amazing and one wrong move you crash and the next takes your place.

I like racing games without weapons, makes it more fun.

It's good if you're looking for competitive multiplayer. I'm generally not looking for that since most of my friends are not gamers.

Single player rocks though (if you like a challenge that is).
