I recently received a package in the mail from a very good friend of mine (very infrequent poster here - Nelstone). He wanted to send me a birthday gift a few months in advance. The box was huge, and I knew there would be some good stuff in the box, but the sheer amount of classic stuff left me standing there speechless with a huge grin on my face. Here's what he gave me:

Funny you should mention that - the power cord was wrapped with some kind of electrical tape. I'll be paying some careful attention when I plug it in!

Personally, I couldn't accept a gift like that... because then I'd have to give something of equal value or I'd feel bad.:p But I guess a sealed REZ is worth all that stuff.

My friend was basically in the process of "streamlining" his collection (i.e. getting rid of or selling just about everything except for the stuff he truly wanted). So that really worked in my favor this time...

I tell my friends not to get me anything because then I'd have to get them shit and it just works out better for everyone if no one has to put any effort into the whole birthday thing.
