Best Buy Clearance: React Nightblade (PS3) - $11.99 (YMMV)

Here's the thing. The React Nightblade for the PS3 (which only works for Guitar Hero 3 and possibly Aerosmith) is on clearance. The SKU is 8633428, and I checked every store in California as well as some in AZ and NM. Every one of those stores had a price below $59.99 (except Clovis, CA) but how deep the discount was did vary.

Santa Clarita was one of several at $11.99, but I also saw it priced at other stores in the $13-35 range. If you're looking for another GH3 guitar, you'll almost certainly get the Nightblade for much less than the MSRP of $59.99, but how good a deal you actually get will vary. Also, every store listed had between three and a dozen in stock as of around 9:30 pm Pacific.

Additionally - I did do a forum search before I posted this, but the thread I found that most closely matched was for the PS2 React guitar at that price.

If it was posted elsewhere and I missed it, my apologies - it didn't turn up in the search.

You can't, not without going in. The website only shows basic stocking info, not in-store pricing.

Thanks i might have to check it out even though the reviews on bestbuy.com are really bad, but for $11.99 it really doesn't matter.

You're in California? Store by your house will be lower than $53.99.

The question is whether you hit the $11.99 jackpot or pay $34.99, say.

Has anyone used these? Pretty much every review sounds HORRIBLE-- like you can barely get through more than one song. I did see these but after reading reviews through the in-store kiosk I stayed far away.

There's a point where cheap isn't worth having to buy (and throw away) another plastic instrument...

REACT makes their guitars really short... they are more appropriate for younger kids.

A friend of mine had one of these, and for anyone over 10 it is most likely to small to be used. Everything is just to cramped. Also, the buttons did not work all the time....just about 80%.

But for $12 it might be worth it...

Old thread, but Madison Heights, MI had 7 left yesterday at $11.99.

Also, since the patch last Thursday, this guitar works in GH3, and Rock Band. I tested it using my copy of Rock Band, and the GH:Areosmith demo.
