If you pre-ordered/purchased Homefront @ BB and didn't get the headset like you were supposed to some more of the headsets have popped up in stock. My friend was able to exchange the turtle beach one they offered him for the right one all he had to do was show his receipt & pre-order slip. If you didn't get a headset at all the same thing would also apply.

Here's the SKU for the PS3 one 1982131 hopefully another CAG can post the SKU for the X360 one. Searching for them online won't work it has to be done in store.
BB store #576(Willow Grove PA) has 3 PS3 ones in stock as of 8 pm last night.

Im pretty sure it was discussed in the original thread about these, that the headset for 360 at least, sucked.

Am I missing something, why in the hell would you exchange the turtle beach ones for the promo ones?? I know the turtle beach ones are their more "affordable" model, but isn't the homefront headset complete crap?

Wow, this thread title is horribly misleading.

Not sure how buying something previously and returning it to get what was originally offered = free. (As others have pointed out)

Also want to agree with the others that Turtle Beach Headsets are awesome, even the low end ones, so why would you want to get RID of the better model?
 
I assure you, the headsets included with this promo are crap and anybody trading in a Turtle Beach headset for one is on drugs.
 
Aren't these just mics that look like a headset? I heard from someone here that no sound comes through it.. Why would anyone ever exchange a TB headset for these?!

Why would anyone pay 60$ for Homefront for that matter?
 
If someone knows a better way to make the title description w/o it being a paragraph long and/or completely confusing post it & I'll change it. As for the "free" part...if you already paid for the game and got no headset come back and get it for "free" these things are ringing up $40.

The purpose of this thread is to help the people who didn't get the headset they wanted or any headset at all. Why they want this headset? I dunno but from all the posts from upset people some said they didn't want the "generic" headset, others seem to think it's a "collectable" & most people feel that if a store promises something they should come thru. BB has been screwing up their pre-orders for some time now just like with MVC3 SE.

Bottom line if you didn't get a headset at all or didn't get the exlclusive one and you still want it here's how to get what BB promised you.

"Best Buy Homefront pre-order Headsets back in stock". Took less than 10 seconds. Maybe change it up a bit, but see, there's no need for the totally unnecessary "Free" language in the title.

It's pretty obvious that BB isn't handing out free headsets to anyone. No reason for all you guys to cry about it.
