So today, I went to pick up my order at Best Buy. I did the free $20 PSN card deal, so I bought RaC: Tools of Destruction. After taxes and a Reward Zone coupons, it came down to $27 for the game and card. Good deal right? Well, I picked up my order and came back to my dorm. Entered the PSN card and tried to buy Wipeout. (That didn't happen because of my credit card.) But anyway, a few hours later, I go to play some Ratchet and Clank. I've never played the games before, so I was curious as to how fun it would be. I go to put the game in, but.....wait! They gave me the wrong game! They gave me Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time. That's right, I got a brand new $60 game and a $20 PSN card for only $27. Thanks Best Buy. I'll be doing in-store pickup more often now. :D

EDIT: The only downside is, I still need Tools of Destruction. :/ Is there a story that needs to be followed? Can I play Crack in Time first?

Wow, that's an awesome screw up (BB Employee here).
As for the storyline, there IS one, but you don't really need to worry too much about it. I started the series at Tools of Destruction and had no trouble jumping in.

Not a bad deal. I'm not a fan of BB though and they still haven't shipped my order with the PSN card.

There's a slight story that ties them together, but for the most part each game has a seperate tale so you can jump in whenever without feeling too lost.

LOL, on Black Friday I ordered RE5 for the 360 and Fallout 3 regular for PS3 for $20 each, for in store pick up. When I picked them up this past Monday, they had accidentally (or perhaps they had run out of the regular in store and hooked me up) "upgraded" Fallout 3 to the Game of the Year edition.

Needless to say, I did not complain, though I'm sure someone on here will call me amoral, unethical, blah blah blah and say I will burn in hell for this transgression or "fraud"/"theft".:roll::roll:

What the f dude. You are such an amoral, unethical jerk that will burn in hell for this transgression/fread or theft. :) =P.

But anyways, nice deals for both of you. Wish I was in your situations, I would love to get new games for the price of old ones.

You damn crook.

Well, just an update. I've been playing the game for the past hour, and it's a great game so far. I recommend it to anyone on the fence about it. :)

Same thing happened to me. I ordered Uncharted with in-store pickup due to the Cyber Monday deal and I picked up the game yesterday. I didn't even notice until I got to the car that they had given me Uncharted 2.
Nice! I'm a firm believer that an an employee mix-up does not constitute fraud or theft.
I second this. Although if a cashier ever hands you too much cash back, make sure you correct it as it comes directly out of their pocket to replace and even the best of us make errors.

Oh, absolutely. I'm a cashier myself, so I know how it goes. At the store I work at now, we don't get in too much trouble, as one till has several people work out of it. At Kmart, though, a till even $5 short could mean your job.

I used to work as a cashier too, and when a mistake was made (under 15) it was water under the bridge. People I've worked with have had 100 dollar bill missing and they just had to fill out soem paperwork. The largest loss of money was an envelope of 500 being lost on the way to the vault... and the person who lost it just had to fill out sheet of paper stating they realized their mistake. lol

Amen - any time someone hands me too much money, I go right back and correct it. It happened to me all the time at the movies when they didn't take cards. I worked retail, so I know how hard it was to keep everything straight all the time.

Now - Best Buy's screw ups (the free games after coupon, the second game rings free, the penny guides) never get reported and ALWAYS get exploited. Call me a crook if you want, but fixing their fuckups is not my job.

Oh - and I'll add... Gamestop is generous, too. They sold me a warranty on my 360, and then told me that the factory warranty and the GS warranty run concurrently when my 360 broke (again) after 1 yr, 8 months...

They didn't tell me that in certain states that is against the law and the states force GS to run the warranties end to end. But I found out anyway. I shipped my Xbox and receipts to my cousin in Florida, she returned the Xbox there without issue and sent a brand new Xbox Pro back to me. Thank you, Gamestop! You cost me $25 bucks shipping, but I got my new Xbox.

Worked at BB during christmas about 7 years ago, its easy to believe. They are fairly busy and use a lotta extra help, no doubt mistakes are made. With enough shopping we all get a deal in there somewhere. I agree definitely with the GS mention, ive gotten some good deals by accident with them, and have two $25 gc's i need to use eventually. Ive had a $10 gc with BB for 14 months i dont do biz with them...
