im planning to buy the 360 120 gb hard drive just for the transfer cable cuz my cousin and i are switching hard drives cuz he just got the elite and he doesnt need the 120 gb hard drive... so my question is im too lazy to wait for the transfer cable to come in through the mail so i was wondering if i just buy the hard drive with the transfer cable and use it just for that ... can i return the hard drive with the cable back ...?

That's a huge maybe. I guess you can return it and say it's defective, but you may get a new one in return -- so I'd just wait for the cable to come in the mail.
