Besides the regular Target clearance deals, it seems that these random Best Buy clearances are the second best bet to get newer games at cheap prices. Problem with Best Buy clearances as we all know is that they are YMMV according to each store. I was hoping to get some kind of master list for stores in the Northern and Central Virginia areas. I'll try to update the list in this first post so we don't have to read the entire thread to see which stores may have been added.

Charlottesville VA (Store 860): Small table up front with 25% off a few unspectacular games...also a shelf or two in the main aisle next the the video game department with more older games for 25%.

Fredericksburg VA (Store 166): Nothing

Cosners Corner VA (Store 1163): Nothing

Stafford VA (Store 1476): Shelf in main aisle next to game section with 40% off. I picked up Nights for $17.

Gainesville VA (Store 1449): Small shelf next to the video game department in the main aisle. It started off at 20% a month ago, but as of early last week when I went it bumped up to 40%. Nice selection like PS3 Skate, Oblivion and the expansion pack. Unfortunately, a lot of these games are still stickered at $60 when they should be $40 or less, so the 40% isn't as great a deal on some games as others. EDIT: This store has gone to 50% off and now includes Halo controllers and wireless headsets! I also noticed on the way through checkout that they have about a dozen or so Star Wars and Daxter PSP bundles for $20 off...not the best deal, but better than nothing if you are in the market for one.

Potomac Mills VA (Store 287): I like these older, bigger stores...too bad this one didn't have sh*t for clearance. They had a bunch of GH 2 that are clearanced everywhere else, but not here. Actually, GH3 is on sale for $75 right now making it cheaper than GH2?!?! I did get some penny guides though so not a total loss of a trip.

These are just the stores I have visited lately. I figure we can all save each other some time and gas if we join our efforts. Thanks.

Manassas, VA had a 50% off shelf with these games.

-Soul Calibur Legends (wii)
-The Golden Compass (ps2/360)
-Spiderman 3 (360)
-POTC:AWE (ps2/360)
-PaParra the rapper (psp)
-Battalion Wars 2 (wii)
-Superman Returns (360)
-Sega Rally Revo (360)
-Some soccer game with a blue cover (360)
-Cars/Open Season/Fuzion Frenzy 2 3 pack (360)
-Halo 3 strategy guide (19.99 with 50% off)

They also had a bunch of Ipod accessories on the other side of the shelf.

I bought a Halo controller at the Gainsville store but it came up at regular price. I told the guy it was on the clearance shelf, so we walked over there, he saw them, and said "OK". Now what I want to do is take a bunch of Devil May Cry limited editions and put them on the shelf and see if that will work. Does anybody's store have stickers or anything on the games to let the cashiers know that they are on clearance? This store just has a piece of paper on top of the shelf saying 50% off games and accessories on this shelf.

Well they finally put the Devil May Cry LE on the table along with PS3 Eye of Judgement bundles in Gainsville, VA. Manassas put Rainbow Six 2 LE on the half off shelf.
Fairfax didn't even have a table yesterday.
Fairfax/Fairlakes usually never has a good game clearance table. However if you go to the video game section near the 360 games they posted some games for somewhat cheap but they are mostly crap. They also added a few guides for a penny (first time I have ever seen them post guides for a penny).

Sterling/Dulles store has Halo 3 CE for $39.99

Also for 360, All Pro Football, Stranglehold, Flatout and one other game on what appears to be the clearance cart. Unfortunately, I either own or don't want the games available.

On the upside, I got them to price match for PS3 copy of the Orange Box. Just tell them to check the Sears or Circuit City site. Paid for the game with Reward Zone certs. Ended up paying 5 dollars and change.

Central Park BB in Fredericksburg has the Microsoft wireless adaptors priced at $69.99...about 8 of them on the shelf. The only other thing they had was a bunch of the ninja gaiden 2 wall graphics for $.99. I've never seen anything clearanced in this store which is why I was surprised to see the adaptors marked down...maybe a universal price drop?

Charlottesville BB currently has a fair few items clearanced.
I picked up Geometry wars:Galaxies for Wii $10 and Batallion Wars II for $15.
I also saw Super Swing Golf Season II for Wii $10 and Call of Duty 4 PC for $20.
They have lots of other games also, thats just what I remember.

Gainesville store had one copy left of Soul Calibur 4 limited edition on the 50% off table. I was tempted to buy it, but I already have the 360 version with the t shirt still wrapped up. Anybody looking to get a PSP should check out the God of War Bundles they have near the check out lines for $159.99...ten bucks cheaper than just a PSP by itself. If I hadn't seen that a new PSP is coming out in a few months, I might have picked up one of these bundles (about a dozen were there on the shelf). Somebody in this store hates limited edition games and PSP bundles as they are always on clearance about a month after release.
