best/cheapest way to "upgrade" my PSP-2000 to a 3000

Hey, what can i say, i'm a sucker for the screen improvement.

But anyone think there will be some kind of trade in deal or something?

I mean, my slim is in MINT condition (no screen scratches or anything, barely used), and i still wouldnt mind paying a small premium to trade it in or sell it and put it towards the 3000 model.

so anyone think a store may be doing that or any other way to unload my PSP-2000 (which again is in brand new condition so shouldnt need to be sold for that much cheaper), and please dont say EBAY.

I'm refraining from doing this since I fear homebrew might be affected by the 3000. What will MikeHoncho do without his GPS in psp? I'll be lost forever

Then you are going to get crap for your stuff if it isn't ebay. Try CAG or Craigslist, you'll get less but it's still a pretty good amount
 
you can be sure gamestop will be there to take your trade in toward a psp bright. They will probably have a trade-in offer but it will probably not get you more than 80-100 toward the new one.

100 aint half bad though....why, where do you think i could get more? i mean its new mint conditiion but i dunno how much closer you can get to 169.99 since it is still after all opened/used.

Jeez, I just said the best places to sell them but no, you go on and ignore me. It's either Craigslist, Ebay, or CAG (maybe GameTZ) or you can settle for crap Gamestop store credit. You can easily get $120+ for it and in cash not store credit
 
If you don't want to do any online selling, definitely wait for Gamestop. They've had every upgrade offer for GBA, PS2, & DS available in the past, and they weren't half bad. However, I don't personally recall a PSP phat to slim2000 upgrade from them...if they've had one of those, bet on the 2000-3000 upgrade.

If you want to sell it for $100 shipped, I'm sure there's a CAG or two who would be happy to comply. I would bite myself, but I already have a PS2, MP3 player, & GPS.

Tape them together and add a portable screen and you have yourself the ultimate "PSP"
 
Yeah they had the PSP upgrade too. I did it last winter. I think it was 70 or 80 in credit. The sad part is I haven't played the thing since I got it and now there's a new version. Doh!

jeez yourself, i SAID in the post "dont say ebay", meaning i have in one way or the other already considered it. And even then all i really did was remind you of that by requoting my post, so dont get so upset, if i had been 'ignoring" you i wouldnt have even done that.

suffice it to say i dont really trust the structure of craigslist, and i dont like to sell items on ebay. not to mention store credit would be just fine since i'd use it directly for a PSP 3000 anyway....i carem ore about how much i can get.

well good news i dont have a phat then, and if they had a 2000-3000 upgrade i'd probably be interested.....although if i had to go through more trouble, like say, sell it here on CAG, i probably would ask for a little more than 100 ;) , but yeah if anyone here is interested, let me know. I could even try and take pictures if you wanted.

hm, 70-80 is as bit less desireable, but it's at least nice to know there was a phat-2000 upgrade offer.....
 
Prostitution. Maybe. Just try to go around different stores and see how much they'll buy it for. Then if you find a price you're satisfied with, sell it, not that difficult. Ask around for deals, sometimes stores will give you an extra percentage [Unlikely but still, you never know until you ask].

stores? as in? I mean, the only "store" i would try that i know does that is GS, unless you're familiar with any others?
