I've been considering getting a GBA for quite some time, but I didn't want to spend alot of money on one. Dad went to get the mail yesterday and laying on the ground about 10 feet from the box, was a silver GBA SP! After drying overnight, it works great. Now I need to find a charger and some cheap games. This is probably YMMV, so don't go to your mailbox expecting to find a GBA in the grass.

I think you found the one I dropped last night. You will be able to tell if it's mine because it will say GBASP on it and theres also a Nintendo sticker on the back.
IM me to get my addy so you can send it back to me : ) thanks!! Didn't think I'd find it after I lost it! :)

I live in a rural area so no one lives "next door." There are kids (my cousins) who live about a quarter mile away. If anyone mentions losing one, of course I'll give it back.
What do you mean "sound fishy"? I have nothing to gain by lying. I'm not some punk kid trying to fabricate a stroy to get the attention of people I'll never meet anyway. What I am is a 27 year old Christian (lying is not good as far as I'm concerned) who was hoping someone might recommend a place to get a cheap charger and some good cheap games.

Then all is good, if it wasn't wet I'd almost believe your dad "found" it at best buy.

If someone is asking for it and they have proof it's theirs, sure. But for the most part - i'd probably keep it. Nice find.

If I lost a cell phone in a neighborhood in a joint and hadn't seen it in 12 hours - i wouldn't expect to see it ever again.

It is kind of weird to find the gba sp next to your mailbox living in a rural area though. like you said no one live "next door". Ask you dad if he found the box, manual, charger, and receipt too.

Well, I'm getting a charger off ebay. Now to find the games. I've checked eb but I don't know what's good. Might be time to find my old Game Informers.
BTW, dad definitely didn't find the box or anything else. This GBA has definitely been dropped on the road as the corners and one of the shoulder buttons are very scuffed. I'm surprised it still works. I'm more surprised it wasn't run over by a car before it made it's way to the grass.

I'd think about asking the mailman if it's his, he's the only one with a reason to be by your box. :D I'm sure your cousins will say something if it's theirs, aside from that- watch the 'lost' ads in your local paper for it. Neat find!
No, they're just cousins. If you didn't live too far north, I'd show you who your daddy is though.
:applause:
I can't wait to get home a check around the mail box! Has anyone found a DS, or just the regular SP?
Are you kidding?

Hmmm, maybe an ELf lost it, while causing mischief on your lawn, check if you find a copy of ELF somewhere in the grass...
Let me guess, your cousins are also your brothers and sisters?
The originality gouges out my eyes.

Seriously if there are no identifying markings on it, it's going to be pretty hard to tell if anyone claiming to have lost it is telling the truth or not. A GBA SP with no charger that sat out overnight isn't worth all that much money anyway. If someone actually put up signs or came around asking about a silver SP, I'd give it to them. But who is going to bother canvassing a neighborhood over a GBA SP?

How much did you have to pay for a charger?

Are you kidding?
About what? I'm thinking it's going to be the best day ever when I find a SP or DS(crosses fingers!) Then I check my mail and my Paper Mario $20 voucher is in there!

$8.54 including shipping and insurance. I didn't see that I had to pay $1.50 insurance till the auction was over, so I thought it was going to be $7.00. At least it's a brand new Nintendo one and not a third party piece.

Nope, no game in it. That's why I'm surprised it works. There was nothing to keep the water out while it was raining, but it works like new.

You know, my cousin found a GBA sp (red) in his CVS bag and my friend found a blue one near his house, at first I didnt belive him but then he took it and dropped it on the ground, then I belived him.

thats the one problem with this web site, all the ass wipes who rain on other people parade, if the person found it then he found it, why all the non believers
