best deal on Growlanser: Generations Deluxe ?

Of course both of these games would have to come out within one day.... why god... why...

Great deal. I refused to pay $90 for the ripoff deluxe package but $70 sounds good. Now to hope nothing goes wrong and that I'll have the game before winter break...

If you think the deluxe pack is a ripoff why would you buy it at all?

Cuz I'm a game collector and may as well collect the extras. But that doesn't mean I'm not cheap at collecting games...

Anyway, please, folks. Don't jinx the game's release. We should all be VERY happy if the game comes out this year. September? Incredibly unlikely if you anything about WD's track record.

Is the deluxe pack a PO only deal? Or will it be available in stores afterwards? I'm struggling with making up my mind to PO right now!

I figure a couple of stores will carry it, but why bother with the hassle of tracking it down and why pay the full $90 for it?

It's not like it's going to be around long enough for a price drop to take effect.

Depends on how many they produce, I haven't heard anything that speaks about it being pre-ordered only, so who knows it may end up like the Robotech Battlecry sets.

I highly dount it will become like robotech. All previous WD releases did not have very high runs. You can get a pretty penny for new copies of Lunar 1&2. Even used ones still sell for $50-60 mint and complete.

You're probably right, I don't know if it will have outstanding sales figures either though. Have they even released Growlanser 1 in the states at all or do I just have a bad memory?

No Growlanser 1 in the states. I heard a rumor that someone (maybe WD?) would package 1+4 together for the US, but I would think that depends on how well this package does.

That's why I haven't opened my Lunar 2 deluxe edition and Arc the Lad yet, and why I'm considering buying this. I played through Lunar SSSC (it's also a deluxe edition) and then saw what it was selling on fleabay and have yet to open Lunar 2 and Arc the lad collection. I'll probably end up opening and playing them but I'm tempted not to.

They wanted to do GL1, but Sony wouldn't let them package it with GL2 and 3. They don't want PS1 games and PS2 games sold together, something about brand confusion.

isnt the growlancer series similar to the langrisser series back in the 16 bit days? if so then I'd think it played like the Genesis game Warsong, strategy RPG.

The sad thing about that is in Japan Sony allowed Atlus to release 1-3 in a set. Unfortunately SCEA treats the United States like we're morons.
