Best mp3 Player

In your opinions, which do you think is the best, most affordable mp3 player on the market?

I'm in the need for some portability, and I need at least 1 GB.

I believe the 5 Gig Zen Micro is about $200 in a B&M Store, but you can get them for less online. I saw them on walmart.com for $190. I've had mine for a few months now and love it.

That much for so little money...

It sounds like a deal, but I'm left wondering if Zens are trustworthy...

Hmm...

Does anyone have a promo code/gift certificate for newegg? ;)

They're more reliable than RCA, Apple, and other crap brands. The major complaint I've heard is that they freeze up a lot. And there are also lots of complaints about the Zen Micro's battery life - not that it's bad (12 hours), but that various firmware issues and bugs causing unaccountable battery drain pop up in some units. Regardless, I'd still recommend the Zen Micro over the iPod mini (1G & 2G), Olympus m:robe 100, and most other microdrive players. Can't compare to the Rio Carbon, though.

Well, I think I'm going to buy the Zen Touch (thanks psiufoxx2).

I just did a google search for "Newegg promo code" and the most retarded website came back as a result.

"You are not alone in your search for Newegg Promotion Code. Hundreds of thousands of people search Internet for reliable company offering Newegg Promotion Code. You need dependable Newegg Promotion Code. Here are the most important things you consider before you part with your hard earned cash in your search for Newegg Promotion Code. The best brand of MP3 players, is iRiver. Its a bit pricier than the others, but still in the range of iPod products. I have heard that the Zen's have headphone jacks that go out in a few months, if thats true or not, im not sure. But iRivers are the best brand of DAPs (digital audio players) out there. So check out the site for their products http://www.iriveramerica.com and see what you find interesting, and then search the web for a better deal on it

i got the creative nomad zen xtra 40gig for 170$ at frys a few weeks ago, great mp3 player and the price cannot be beat!

My Zen was disaterous. First the headphone jack got loose and started coming out, then my battery would stay on for 2 hours then die. Then it started deleting music off my hard drive then it wouldnt talk to my computer or any other computer. Dont get it!
