Best place to buy books online?

I'm thinking about going on a book shopping spree and I'm wondering where to buy them all at

I do like Barnes and Nobles but books are so much cheaper online as everyone knows..

The thing is I see some books like 40 cents with 4 dollars shipping and I don't think what to do

Can anyone recommend me some sites? Tips to getting a good book buy?

Usually paranoid about getting used books since who knows what it'll look like when you get it

i usually use getcheapbooks.com to find textbooks (searchs for lowest price among several sites), should work otherwise. other than that, amazon's the way to go imo.

Not sure why, but for books I always find what I want in the best condition for the cheapest price shipped at Half.com. It just always seems to happen that way. Perhaps they have a larger seller-base on books than Amazon resellers.
