So do you all remember CDs? I know most of you probably have never even bought one, but for some of us we have a massive collection from our college years, Columbia House or BMG, etc. Anyhow, we are downsizing our possessions, and I really want to know where the best place to unload all of my wife's cd collection. I was thinking of heading down to FYE as it is the only place that I know that takes them in. All of the local mom and pops have closed in this neck of the woods. Anyhow, would love to hear your thoughts and opinions. With iTunes, Pandora, and our XM subcscription these CDs are touched, so they should go out to someone and not a landfill methinks.

Be warned that FYE is not supposed to accept CDs from a music service or anything labeled as promotional; that doesn't mean you can't take advantage of a clueless cashier like I did when I traded my lot for 2 PS3s ;).

Could always list em here (or at least the better ones) to see if people want them. but then otherwise in bulk, FYE prob

I've got a box or two full and I am in the same situation. I tried to sell them awhile back and had a few friends bite on some for like $3 each but otherwise I couldn't find anything worth while. One site that was recommended (I don't remember now) was only giving like $0.50 or so a cd for most of them and some were still recent cds within the last year or two while others were from the early late 80's, early 90's era. Mostly rock/classic rock/metal to give you an idea of what I had and to expect. I then checked ebay and lots of cds on ebay were pretty much worthless. I can't bring myself to give them away or throw them away so in the box on the floor they still sit, let me know if you figure something good out.

I've only found $0.50 also, and I'm not really sure at this point if I could part with them
