Sorry I couldn't be more specific. We just switched from the dish to regular cable, and I know what kind of cable I need, just not the technical name of it, is it coaxial? Also, where might I find the best prices for it as a 25' or 50' cable?

You can get cable pretty cheap, but there is a distinct difference in quality between cheap cable and good cable. I recommend getting a good quality RG-6/QS cable.

Ok, RG-6 is what I was looking at on sites. Best price I've seen is $12.99 for either length, I think I can get by with a 25' one. Thanks for the help so far, any more ideas anyone?

IF you're looking at absolute rock bottom price, the 12.99 is about where you're going to be. for $7 more (19.99) you can get a good quality one. Oh, and buy it in store it's not worth paying shipping on.

See if your service provider can send you some--tell them the person who installed it didn't give you long enough cables. They're the only place I know of to get good cables. Those white cables you can buy in-store are terrible.

well if you really look into it, price is not indicative of quality. some people spend hundreds(even thousands of dollars) on cables. its true that good cables make a difference, but there isn't a whole hell of a lot of difference in materials between good and bad. try radio shack. they sell it by the foot.
