The good news, as far as my wife and wallet are concerned, is that I'm running out of Gamecube titles I want to buy. There are a few things I know won't be available for less than $20 for some time, and those I can wait on, and there are some Player's Choice titles I can always get at 2/$30 sales (and it seems like there's at least one every week ... CC, BB and EB will all have had them within a month of each other).

But I'm getting concerned about Prince of Persia and Metal Gear Solid. While the list price seems to be $20 most places, none of my area BBs have copies (meaning no GGC...) -- I think the games are at the end of a printing, and I can't believe they wouldn't be reprinted, but I'd love to find them at a cheapass price while I still can. And by "cheapass price," I mean less than what they typically sell for used. (EB.com doesn't even have a listing for MGS and sells PoP is $25, but at other places I see these games running ~$18.) Gamestop.com has each for $18, but they're such a big crapshoot in terms of quality and completeness that they're my last resort. (This can be combined with a 25% off, B2G1 or free shipping deal, but even with those incentives -- plus the fact that they won't take my damn in-store credit -- the quality question still worries me.)

I saw a lone copy of PoP for $20 at an area retailer, and I'm sure I could dig up a new copy of MGS locally as well. But paying full price for them would make them basically the most expensive of my 15 or so Gamecube games, second only to the Zelda Collector's Edition ($35 used). So CAG tips would be appreciated.

The last Kmart sale had MGS for $15. The rumor is they are having the sale every month. I would wait until the next one and go visit your local Kmart establishment.

As for PoP, that game is worth $50. getting it for $20 is a steal. grab it.
