Best PS3 console deals

My buddy is looking to get back into gaming and asked my advice on how to get the best deal on a new PS3.  I've had my PS3 for awhile so I havent really been paying much attention to the PS3 deals, but I know that i've seen some deals on new ps3 hovering around $200 or so.  Of course now that he's looking for one I can't find any great deals.

So far the God of War Legacy bundle that includes Ascension along with the GOW collection seems like the best deal at $299.99 from Amazon since he's never played any of the GOW games before.  The next best would be the GTA:V pre order bundle at $269.99 at Amazon.

Does anyone know of any good active deals on new ps3 systems that I'm missing?  It would really help him out.  Thanks a lot.

That Assassin's Creed 3 bundle had been hovering at $229 at Newegg's eBay page.

That would be a good deal, but it looks like it's $299 at the moment...

I did just notice the deal Best Buy has on the UC3 bundle with the 1 year ps+ membership for $219.99.  That looks like the way to go I guess.

Yes, the UC3 Bundle from BestBuy's 2-day sale (26th-27th) will be your best bet for your friend.  PS+ membership has a lot of free games to download that will keep your buddy occupied for the whole year.  I also find that 250gb is sufficient hdd space.
