Best thing to do in this situation (XBOX related)

OK, so my XBOX seems to be crapping out a bit. On many games (NCAA 2004, Halo sometimes) I'm getting DDE.

I'm thinking about getting a new XBOX.

A) Where can I get a decent trade-in for my old XBOX?
B) What do I do about my XBL account?

Sorry about the original post, I didn't mean to offend anyone.

Any responses to my new issues would be appreciated.
 
First off, don't ask for a modded Xbox, it will get you flamed and yes, discussions about illegal activites are not allowed here.

Secondly, Morrowind is buggy, it may not be your Xbox if that's the only game you have a problem with. Everyone's Xbox freezes up on Morrowind (and Pirates of the Carribean for that matter)
 
Game rush and game crazy give the best trade ins. You may or may not have problems on xbl. You can still have problems with a chip even if you use the switches.
 
not all modded xbox's have to be used for illegal activities, ie linux kits and home theatre mods, but i'm no cag uber poster myself...
 
modding a system in and of itself is illegal, end of story. it dosent matter what your view on it it. its not legal any way you look at it. weather you agree or disagree.

Modding the Xbox is illegal in and of itself. To be able to run any of these programs requires backwards engineering of Microsoft's product.. and that's a no-no.

modding your xbox is not illegal by any means, the bios you put put on the chip is however illegal because it uses the xdk which iyour not suppose to screw with, however there are linux distros and other things you can do that are not illegal and do not even require the illegal bios most think of when they hear modded xbox
 
Cornfedwb is right, do some heavy playing with other games. Morrowind is one of those titles that have heavy bug reports. Are you also sure its not the disc?

Just some basic care info.

Don't have your systems on the carpet, it helps insulate them = Bad

Don't keep them in an enclosed cabinet while playing. (This is mainly done while watching a movie etc. So systems tend to be on for a long period heat up...and DRE's start appearing.

There is also XBConnect (google it) an alternative to XBL. I would PM some mod info for you, but it looks like you would not be using it for the more condoned reasons.

First, that is so illegible I can barely read it. Secondly, ANY Backward Engineering Of Any Product Is Illegal.. I'm not sure how much more clear I can make that. Justify it all you want.. it.. is.. illegal... period, end of story, no debate, its wrong, its illegal, and you're going to burn in the holy fires of hell and damnation.
 
yeah, XBConnect rocks. It's the true Cheap Ass way to play online, because, well, it doesn't get cheaper than FREE! Has a lot of support too, just no downloadable content.

I will agree that my online typing is hard to read because i dont punctuate or use caps ;) but i do have to disagree that backwards engineering is illegal. I could be wrong but they use backwards engineering to create solutions to virus's and worms and what not, is that illegal too? I dont say i condone modding to play back ups and what not but I do not think its illegal to use a game to load a save file that lets you run linux on your xbox
