CAGiversary!
I want to get the new Artorias DLC for Dark Souls, but after all these years of owning a PS3 (I had a phat one that got stolen from my apartment and bought a slim one later on), I have never bought anything from the store or inputted my CC info. Then there was that infamous PSN hacking and I am definitely even more cautious to link my CC to anything Sony related. Their PSN website and billing website are separate so it makes it even more confusing. I've gotten my CC stolen twice already online (one from the infamous monoprice hack, don't remember the other one) so am very wary of using my CC online. Whenever possible, I use my paypal account, which hasn't failed me yet after all these years. Sadly, I do not see a paypal option when I try to add funds to my wallet.
Would it be okay to add my CC just to make that one $14.99 purchase for the DLC, then quickly delete it? The thought of my CC even being remotely in contact with a Sony server already gives me chills. And I can't really trust it to be deleted fully. The other route would be a $20 PSN card. In true CAG fashion, this concerns me, since that means I will have wasted $5 extra because there is no $15 PSN card to my knowledge, and this is literally the only DLC I will ever buy probably. I also have no idea how tax works on the PSN store. A $16.50 PSN would probably cover it, if that ever existed.
So what should I do?
