i am kind of regret now for getting a hddvd driver last year at BB, you know where i got the hddvd player, king kong, 5 hddvd in mail(haven't got it yet), matrix, sorpano hddvd, and heroes hddvd.

yes, i got a lot of freebies but still the hddvd player is like $80 now :(

With all these B1G1's, it seems that retailers have discovered that there is a "sweet spot" in regards to price for HD DVDs (around $15).
However, the studios are still MSRP'ing them for $30.

Folks have said all along that any HD format disc wouldn't really take off until the discs were

It's my fault I didn't notice the B1G1 deal on Speedy's thread. But, hadn't THECLAW92 gave it its own thread this morning, I wouldn't have known. Again, my fault for lightly skimming Speedy's ad and not expecting any deals. For all intents and purposes, this thread helped me out. Anyway, I'm giving credit to both. In return, I'd like to provide some info, hoping it would help.

So I saw this thread, checked BB's site, and saw the online prices for Transformers and Bourne Ultimatum.
Transformers ........ $19.99
Bourne Ultimatum .... $26.99

I printed the online ads, the online special, and bought both online for pickup. I didn't see Transformers selectable, so I thought I was gonna bring this in with the Transformers pic.

Walked in the store, picked up Transformers and Bourne off the shelf, then decied to pick up Shrek and Hot Fuzz as well. I decided I'll forego the online pickup (since I didn't have confirmation yet, I figured I'll just get there the moment they open and hope they have a lot in stock still). Whether it's because people didn't know about it yet or people just don't care (with the perception of it being a dying format), there were quite a few in stock. Picked up all 4, and went to the cashier. As they were scanning them, noticed that Hot Fuzz was ringing up for $19.99, while the other 3 was ringing up for $29.99. I told the cashier that Transformers was on their online site for $19.99. She said she'll do it if I had the print. I showed her the online print, and requested for 2 separate purchases. So here's how it broke down:

1st Receipt:
Transformers ... $19.99
Hot Fuzz ....... $ 0.00 (B1G1)
Tax ............ $ 1.55
=======================
Total .......... $21.54

2nd Receipt:
Shrek the 3rd ...... $29.99
Bourne Ultimatum ... $ 0.00 (B1G1, $26.99 online, but didn't matter because of the "Equal or lesser value" clause)
Tax ................ $ 2.32
===========================
Total .............. $32.31

So, in essence, I'm getting all 4 for about $12.50 each plus tax ($13.46 to be exact, I suppose). Even better if I only got Transformers and Hot Fuzz. Not bad, not bad at all. I'll post an abbreviated version of this on the other thread.

Thanks OP!
It's called a joke, bro. Wikipedia it.
Well the intertubes and sarcasm never really mixed well...... but good joke ;)

I picked up Hot Fuzz and Transformers for $20 total. I was planning on price-matching the online site for Transformers, but I didn't need to. Hot Fuzz was scanned first and came up for $19.99, Transformers then came up as $29.99 and then dropped to $0 with promotion so it's worth noting that you may be able to get a different $25-$30 one free with Hot Fuzz if Hot Fuzz is scanned first.

can't select transformers...I wouldn't mind getting that and bourne ultimatum but the online selection is limited.

I can confirm that this is indeed exploitable. I put Hot Fuzz on the top of my stack so they'd scan it first, and since that one's on sale for $19.99, the $29.99 (Borne Ultimatum) came up as the free one and I essentially got both of them for $10 each.

Unrelated, but they're selling Earth Defense Force 2017 for $9.99. I can't recommend this game enough.

Man, I don't know why they keep using the same old movies for all these sales. No wonder HD-DVD sales are low. It's all the same recycled selections.

King Kong isn't on the list online B1G1 but it is available in store as part of B1G1. I think in store price sells for $24.99.
