i got the best buy email for the exclusive link but for some reason it won't work. Has this happen to anyone else who recieved the link to preorder

When exactly did you get the email?? I'm really pissed off that I haven't received one considering how much I spend at Best Buy.
When I got my email for the PSP they gave me a specific time when I could go to the link. I missed it the first time I read the email as it wasn't that clear. Just a thought.

Here's what the e-mail says:

"Member Exclusive! Be first in line to pre-order an Xbox 360 bundle — plus, get DOUBLE POINTS on a game-and-accessory-packed Sports bundle.

Starting at 10 a.m. (CT) on Wednesday, November 9, Best Buy is offering select Reward Zone members the opportunity to pre-order what is sure to be one of the hottest products of the holiday season — the next next-gen Xbox 360 gaming system.

Quantities are extremely limited, so don't delay.

For more information about our Xbox 360 bundles, and for your chance to pre-order one, use this special "members only" sign-in link:"

My link didn't work either, but note that you can't do it until 10AM CST on this Wednesday and that it also says "Xbox 360 bundles". Who wants to bet that the cheapest bundle will be at least $600???

the link worked for me but is just says the same thing. It says the deal is available yet and you have to come back on Wed. at 10.

do you think they will only offer bundles? I hope not.

Just got the email as well. I will get one of these...

Oh wait.... I didnt notice that the word 'bundle' is in there... sucks.

Yes! I got a link too, doesnt work but if its just the regular bundle I'll preorder. They dont charge your card till it ships right?
stupid stupid BB, I have RW but I didnt get the e-mail can somone post or PM me the URL?
I was just getting ready to ask the same thing. If anyone could do that for me too through PM or email I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

According to the news letter for BBY employees, this offer was extended to RZ members who've made "recent and specific" purchases.

i go the email as well... im really in a jam $$$ wise so i dont think ill be getting on launch.. i still dont see must own game...and i dont have an hd tv to fully take advantage
According to the news letter for BBY employees, this offer was extended to RZ members who've made "recent and specific" purchases.
So basically, non-devil customers?

Yes, it's only ONLINE (no IN-Store pickup....90% sure of that)

Also, it's for a BUNDLE....says Sports bundle, so I'm assuming it will be packaged with 2-3 EA sports games.....probably be priced over $550.

I'd love to know what their criteria is with all the damn money I've spent there in the last 4 months. 2 PSPs, an XBox, PS2 slim, games, cds, dvds, 2 HDTV LCD tvs, a computer, etc..damn what do you have to buy to get the damn email?

I just read somone say that it's available for people who have spent 1000 and over on video games this year. Sounds about right and oh yeah no DEVIL CUSTOMERS. Lame, but I suppose if you spent 1000 you wouldn't mind throwing down another 1000 for thier suparBUNDLE

It's obviously going out to devil customers too... I got an email, and I have put EVERYTHING on my reward zone card. Yes, even penny guides, all the transactions I made with the $10 RED coupon, and not to mention all the price matching.

I was pretty surprised when I got one, yes. Then I read it mentioned "sports bundle" and I thought what the hell, the only sports games coming out are upgraded ports... too bad it is not the "Perfect Dark Zero and other kickass games" bundle.

This will probably not be worth your time at all.

I figure you can always buy the bundle and exchange after you recieve them. Hope they dont force the PSP/PRP. I'm hoping I can just get the system, we can use the RZ online now too right?

I dunno if this has anything to do with it, but I also got the email. My buddy bought a $800 home theatre system and gave me the credit on my RZ card since he didn't have one.

I rarely ever buy games from Best Buy, maybe 5 in the last year and I recieved the email. I have bought an HDTV for under $800 and tons of DVD's, but very few games and no systems. The TV was the biggest purchase I have ever made at BB.

I probably spend a $1,000 a year at BB, but probably only about 15% of my purchases are for video games. Pretty much just $19.99 games that I use the GGC unless they are having a sale. Same goes with DVD's - only loss leader new releases.

The e-mail says "Be first in line to pre-order an Xbox 360 bundle — plus, get DOUBLE POINTS on a game-and-accessory-packed Sports bundle." So I would guess they'll have multiple bundles offered but just the Sports one gets you double points. If they have a decent bundle with games I was going to get anyway, I might consider, but otherwise I'll just blow it off.

Ive spent maybe $4-5k at Best Buy this year, with maybe less then $200 being videogames.

The 'bundle' scares me. If its just an extra game and maybe a warranty, sure. If they want me to buy a bunch of sports games, then screw them.

OMG cant belive you posted the link. It could be tied down to your specific membership, plus they have limited quantities, you could have screwed yourself and/or us. Can a mod delete the above link please?

EDIT: Thanks for link removal!

I just called Best Buy Reward Zone 3 different times and asked 3 different people why some people didn't get emails. All 3 said it was strictly random and had nothing to do with how much was spent by those individuals. They also said they were getting some complaints about the process. One added that it was a VERY small number of emails that went out, not even close to what there was for the PSP.

LOL

anyone else having trouble signing in to myrewardzone.com?
I wonder if you need the email link to purchase and if you can access the deal from myrewardzone.com
reward zone is always buggy as hell
Nope, works fine for me....

Is anyone going to pre-order a SECOND one here, just in case?

Ok Anyone else having a problem with the bb.com site not letting you check out with your x360? Mine keeps saying that it cannot calculate tax and to try again. This thing is pissing me off. I've been trying for 30min now.

It did the same thing for me, but eventually went through. Total including shipping and taxes came to $550. I ended up getting the Premium bundle with an extra wireless controller and Madden 2006. They only charged $5.99 for shipping for the Xbox 360 which seemed pretty fair, but they also charged $1.99 for Madden and $4.99 for the controller which seemed a little excessive.

For anybody interested they had 2 core bundles and 2 premium bundles. I didn't pay attention to the Core bundles, but the Premium bundles came with a wireless controller and either Madden 2006 or Madden 2006 & Project Gotham Racing. Nothing too excessive.

The order summary online breaks out each item individually, so I'm hoping that I can return Madden and get it refunded. Worst case senario is I'll take it back after X-mas when they'll give you store credit for it without a receipt.

My only concern is that order summary currently states that my order is back ordered, but I'm assuming that it says that for all orders until they ship out. Does everyone else's say the same thing?

I'm expecting that these orders will be shipped by launch date and they've reserved these units specifically to go out in that time frame but you never know with BestBuy. Wouldn't be the first time they stiffed me afterwards on an order that appeared to go through the system (like the online $4.99 sales in the past).

Did everybody else who tried to get one through this route have any problems getting one? The link previously said they were completely sold out and to try to go to the store on the 22nd, but now it just goes to some other screen which says online order is currently unavilable, so I'm assuming the allotment for Reward Zone members is gone.

Honestly I think the bundles suck, but then again I think Madden 06 sucks and is just a beta for Madden 07. Would have liked to see some more genre mixing. not feeling too bad on misisn out on this one tho.
BB should had offer kameo or PDZ instead of madden
had a deal with EA I bet to pimp out madden so no suprises. BB and EA are quite fond of one another.

wow. those completely suck ass. guess reward zone members only like Madden  I would've been on this if they let you choose games.

Really. I'm softening on Madden since there's no other option(bastards) but I'd rather have a full dev cycle in place first.

i went with the $580 bundle mostly because you get double reward zone points for getting PGR3. Either way I'll probably end up selling either or both. Did anyone check out the return policy? Would it be possble to return or exchange the two games instore? I suspect not.

I was on and had one in my cart but I decided against it. I didn't like the bundles and don't want it shipped. I want it straight in my hand when I pay for it.

That was my problem with the whole thing. I hate to be forced to buy a game that I don't want. I have Madden, I don't want to buy a new Madden and start over. Seems pointless. At least the prices seemed reasonable. I can't see many people buying the core system. I wish they had a pole to find out who was buying what. I can't see spending 300 on a system and then have to fork over $40 for a memory card when the system is 400 and has the hard drive and other things included.

There was no way for you to know this prior to ordering, but my order summary broke out each item individually on the order, so I don't see any reason why you couldn't just return the extra controller or Madden Game. Might not get the shipping refunded though which added another $2.00 for Madden and $5.00 for the controller. An added bonus is that you'll end up getting $15 in reward zone certificates for the purchase as well. Overall not that bad of a deal.

I previously pre-ordered a copy of pokemon XD for my son which came with the gamecube skin and that also broke out each item individually and I had no problem returning the game without the gamecube skin (I ended up picking it up at the Toys R US 2 for 1 sale which is the reason I returned it to Best Buy).
